Student answer (Band 5.5)
In recent times, job seekers above the age of 50 are finding difficulties to bag worthy job opportunities in some countires, although having sufficient experience. In my opinion, this is a vital issue faced by people nowadays. The root of this problem is the new generation and technological advancements.
To begin with, the technological advancements are the primary causes of this probelm. Because job hunters above 50 belongs to more sophisticated and millenium era where there were not enough tech tools to work on and get familiar with them. For example, My father still cannot efficiently use a smartphone, but my younger sister can because she is curious, aware and smarter than our father. Moreover, old people can only remember what they have learned earlier but they will not be able to learn new things and its against their will. Additionally, another cause for this issue is the GenZ that they are been much more smarter and more familiar with tools like ChatGPT, Claude. However, they get more opportunities because of that.
On the other hand, there are several meaures which can be taken into account for solving this essential issue. Firstly, the tech companies should emphasize more on work experience rather than investing more on raw talent. For example, unwillingly if a major error happens then a young employee will not able to tackle that problem, but an experince person can solve that. Secondly, the government should fund institutional organisations to make crash courses for unemployed people by which they can acquire necessary skills to compete with the younger people.
In conclusion, the evident causes of unemployment for people above 50 are technological improvements and GenZ. Although, measures like prioritizing experince and making necessary courses available for elder people could be a key. From my view, this issue is significant can be tackeld by implementing reliable measures.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by identifying causes, such as technological advancements and the rise of younger generations, and providing measures, such as prioritizing experience and government-funded crash courses. A clear position is maintained throughout the essay. However, some ideas are slightly over-generalized or underdeveloped, such as the claim that older people 'will not be able to learn new things and its against their will.' The support relies more on personal anecdote than broader evidence, placing this response comfortably at Band 6.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear division into introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate causes and measures. Cohesive devices are employed, such as 'To begin with', 'Moreover', and 'On the other hand', though referencing and transitions are sometimes a bit mechanical or faulty, as seen in the slightly awkward phrasing 'the GenZ that they are been much more smarter'. Overall organization is logical, matching the Band 6 descriptors.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, attempting some less common items such as 'technological advancements', 'unemployed people', and 'institutional organisations'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word choice errors throughout the text, including 'countires' instead of 'countries', 'probelm' instead of 'problem', 'millenium era', 'experince', 'meaures', and 'tackeld'. Furthermore, phrases like 'bag worthy job opportunities' lack natural collocation. These lexical inaccuracies place the response at Band 5.5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing relative clauses and conditional structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'are finding difficulties to bag' (struggling to secure), 'belongs to more sophisticated and millenium era', 'its against their will', 'they are been much more smarter', and 'a young employee will not able to'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent the essay from reaching a higher band, aligning well with Band 5.5.
