Student answer (Band 5.0)

In number of countries, 50 plus age group people does not found good job opportunities, despite having experience. In my view, there are many causes to this problems, such as early retirment, advanced technological skill needed. For solving this kind of problem relevant authorities must chair meetings, that how to reduce these raising problems.

Currently, world have more than 60% young population. However, number of jobs does not fulfill the need of everyone, therefore many countires set the rules according to its population and as per jobs. Where they want to give huge number of opportunities to their youth because they came with innovation, such technological advancement came to the world through this generation. As per my knowledge, in Pakistan their are over 68% youth population living. Therefore, they introduce number of rules and regulation when hiring new employee, like setting age for requirment as 24-28 between. If they did not got avail or grab job than they will not eligible for job in coming years. This is reason huge number of people is unemployeed, and they face inflation and economic uncertainty. Now country decided to set early age retirment, which may affect over fifty plus age group, even they have skill to carry work smoothly but force of young generation they are taking such a actions.

Furthermore, government should consider the that over fifty age group people have many skill because they handle a lot of things in their carrier, they should take essential measures to retian the number of old workers within organization, where they can share their experience. They will help young generation that how to overcome on certain matters, their guidance play crucial impactful role in youth.

In conclusion, government could play key role to solve umployement of skill person's who's age crossing 50.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses both parts of the task by identifying causes, such as early retirement and technological skill needs, and suggesting measures like retaining older workers and government support. However, the development is somewhat limited and the position is not always clearly stated due to expression issues. For example, the student mentions that 'in Pakistan their are over 68% youth population living,' which drifts slightly into a specific country context rather than a general discussion. Ideas are presented but remain somewhat under-developed with limited supporting evidence. Based on these descriptors, the response meets the criteria for Band 5.0.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay has a basic structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing some organisation. However, there is a lack of clear overall progression and logical flow between sentences. Cohesive devices are sometimes inaccurate or over-used, such as the abrupt transitions using 'Furthermore' and 'In conclusion'. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion within paragraphs is frequently faulty, resulting in sentences that feel disjointed. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, for example, the pronoun 'they' often lacks a clear antecedent. These features align with the Band 5 descriptors.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited and barely adequate for the task. The student attempts some less common vocabulary items, such as 'technological advancement', 'economic uncertainty', and 'crucial impactful role', but there are noticeable errors in word choice, collocation, and spelling throughout. Examples of errors include 'retirment', 'unemployeed', 'umployement', and phrasing like 'does not found good job opportunities'. These lexical inaccuracies and spelling errors occasionally cause some difficulty for the reader, placing the response firmly at Band 5.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty, leading to frequent grammatical errors. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('people does not found', 'world have more than'), fragment or run-on sentences ('For solving this kind of problem relevant authorities must chair meetings, that how to reduce these raising problems'), and incorrect prepositions. These errors are frequent and can cause difficulty for the reader, though they do not completely obscure the overall meaning. This corresponds to a Band 5.0 score.
