In few countries, it can be very difficult for individuals over the age of 50 to get good jobs, despite their experience. This is mainly because young generations tend to work more effectively. This essay will discuss why this problem has arisen and how it can be addressed.
One of the main causes associated with no jobs for people over 50 is that the youth of a country is determined about their work. This is especially relevant when an organisation needs their employees to work for longer hours in order to achieve a specific project objective and deadline. Moreover, senior citizens have knowledge or skills that is very outdated in compared to modern period. As a result, it might be get difficult for people over 50 to get a job, despite having experience. For instance, in many countries, senior citizens are not allowed to work as their methodology is quite traditional, so they do not fit in today's corporate work culture.
One possible solution to this problem is that people need to upgrade their skills, as required by firms. If they fulfil the requirements as per the specified conditions, then the chances of getting a job even at older age might get increased. Subsequently, they need to be more adaptable to the situation in every working environment. For example, according to the one article in Times of India, many organisations have started providing jobs to elderly people, because they are upgrading their knowledge as well as skills, and they are getting quite adaptable in this fast growing era. Consequently, it helps older people to get a employment opportunity.
In conclusion, it can be very tough to find a employment for people over the age of 50, the main causes of this problem is young generation they often work relentlessly for hours without causing fatigue and old people have outdated skills, but this can be addressed by skill upgradation and adaptation to work in flexible environments.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by identifying causes, such as older workers having outdated skills and younger employees working longer hours, and proposes viable solutions like skill enhancement and adaptability. However, some of the supporting ideas are somewhat generalised and underdeveloped, such as the claim that senior citizens simply lack effectiveness compared to the youth. The writer maintains a clear position throughout the essay. While the development could be extended further with deeper analysis, the task is sufficiently answered to meet the criteria for a Band 6.0.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay is coherent overall with a clear logical arrangement, featuring an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate causes and solutions. Cohesive devices are employed, such as 'Moreover', 'As a result', and 'Consequently', but some referencing and logical transitions feel slightly mechanical or repetitive, particularly the reliance on words like 'Consequently' and 'Subsequently'. Paragraph internal progression is generally clear, though minor linking weaknesses keep the response at a Band 6.0 level.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common lexical items such as 'methodology', 'upgradation', and 'adaptable'. However, there are notable lexical and collocational errors throughout the text, including 'in few countries' instead of 'in some countries', 'no jobs' instead of unemployment, 'in compared to' instead of 'compared to', and 'get a employment' instead of 'employment'. These inaccuracies prevent the score from reaching a higher band, placing it firmly at Band 5.5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, incorporating conditional structures and relative clauses. However, there are frequent grammatical errors and awkward phrasings, such as 'knowledge or skills that is' (subject-verb agreement), 'might be get difficult', 'older age' missing an article, and 'according to the one article'. Punctuation is generally acceptable, but grammatical slips are frequent enough to cause occasional hesitation for the reader, aligning the writing with the Band 5.5 descriptors.
