Student answer (Band 6.0)
In various countries, individuals over the age of 50 are struggling to get good jobs, despite having relevant experience.
In my view, the major cause of this issue is that it is widely believed that people over the age of 50 should retire because undoubtebly with today's technology advancements the work environment has become incredibly fast-paced in comparison with the past. They aren't accustomed with learning new technology could be another reason. Also, multiple brands are hiring young minds so that they can replace the old school business techniques with innovative ideas connect with more people and stay in trend to attract a larger audience. Subsequently, Social media plays a major role in the growth of a businesses nowdays. Alot of our older generation is not good with technology and mass media which is also a often vital issue.
I believe that their is no doubt that their experience can being proved useful in a company's growth. They can guide the youth better in terms of making the business successful. The measures that can be taken to solve this issue are that seminars can be arranged for older people to learn more about new technology and social media. Younger employees can benefit from the experienced employees which can be incredibly beneficial for a company.
In conclusion, despite having experience older generation is struggling to land a job. But their experience can be increbily valuable for a company's success. Innovative ideas by younger employees and experience from older employees side by side can play a pivotal role in a company's growth.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the question: you identify employers’ preference for younger workers and older people’s difficulty adapting to technology, then suggest seminars and cooperation between age groups. Your position—that older employees’ experience remains valuable—is clear. These are relevant ideas, but some are asserted rather than explained. For example, the claim that businesses hire young people to replace “old school business techniques” would be stronger with a brief explanation or example of how this affects hiring. The proposed seminars are relevant, but you could explain who would provide them and how they would improve older applicants’ job prospects. Develop each cause and measure more fully and connect them directly to the problem.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: causes are discussed first, followed by possible measures and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Also,” “Subsequently,” and “In conclusion” help signal movement between points. However, the causes paragraph combines several ideas—retirement expectations, technology, youth hiring, and social media—without clearly showing how they relate. The transition from causes to solutions is also abrupt, and the conclusion largely repeats earlier claims rather than drawing them together. Some references, such as “their experience” and “their,” are not always clear. Use separate, focused paragraphs for causes and solutions, and make the relationship between each point explicit with more precise linking and referencing.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of vocabulary, including “fast-paced,” “innovative ideas,” “experienced employees,” and “pivotal role,” which helps communicate the topic. There are also attempts at less common expressions, although some combinations are unnatural or imprecise: “accustomed with learning,” “a larger audience,” and “experience can being proved useful” do not express the intended ideas smoothly. Spelling and word-form slips such as “undoubtebly,” “nowdays,” “Alot,” and “increbily” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise employment-related collocations and check spelling carefully. For instance, describe workers as adapting to new technology and explain that their experience can contribute to a company’s success.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a cause clause beginning “because” and a relative clause in “employees which can be incredibly beneficial.” The main ideas are generally understandable, but some grammatical errors affect accuracy. Examples include “They aren't accustomed with learning,” “their is no doubt,” “their experience can being proved useful,” and “a often vital issue.” There are also problems with agreement and sentence construction in “the growth of a businesses” and “Innovative ideas by younger employees and experience from older employees side by side can play.” Work on verb forms, articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries, and revise complex sentences to ensure each clause is complete and grammatically connected.
