Student answer (Band 5.0)
Difficulty is faced by individuals over the age of 50 to get jobs in some country, despite them being experienced. There can be various causes for this problem. This could be because of facts like chronic disease elder individuals are suffering from or demand for higher salaries. The problem can be solved with appropriate steps. My stance will be explained in the upcoming paragraph with appropriate reasons and proper examples.
Firstly, elder individuals might be suffering from disease like myopia. This could lead to reduction in productive by person. Furthermore, elder person might ask for more wage because of their experience. For an instance, an elder person going to an interview in meta was asking for more salary just because of his age and experience. Additionally, elder people can also be not suited for some work in a company because of their age. subsequently, reduction in people over the age of 50 can be seen in some countries.
That being said, people over age the age of 50 can get jobs in place appropriate for them. For an example, an elder individual can get a job at store as cashier. Also, can do jobs which can be done from home. The problem can also be solved with government introducing policies for to be nominated for jobs which don't require extreme manpower instead requires experience.
To conclude, elders might not be suited for some tasks, but they can still get jobs based on their experience. Jobs can be created for elder individuals by government to help elders earn their wages.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify several relevant causes, including health problems, salary expectations and age-related suitability for certain work, and you offer measures such as cashier roles, home-based work and government policies. However, the response only partially develops the task: the proposed policies are vague, and the examples do not clearly show how they would improve access to good jobs. The Meta interview anecdote is specific, but it is not explained or supported, and the claim that an older applicant asked for more salary because of age is not fully convincing. Your position is broadly that older people can work in suitable roles, but it is not stated clearly as a consistent argument. Explain each cause and measure more fully and connect examples directly to them.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “Furthermore” and “To conclude” help signal these stages. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the move from health problems to salary expectations and then to job suitability feels like a list, rather than a developed line of reasoning. Some linking phrases are awkward or inaccurate, including “That being said” where the relationship between the preceding causes and the solutions is not clearly contrasted. The conclusion repeats the general point without bringing the causes and measures together. Group related ideas and use clearer links to show how each point supports your argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “chronic disease,” “productive,” “experience,” “manpower” and “policies,” so the reader can generally understand the subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are noticeably inaccurate, sometimes making meaning less clear. For example, “reduction in productive by person” does not express the intended idea naturally, and “jobs in place appropriate for them” is unclear. Repetition of “elder individuals” and “elder people” also limits variety; “older workers” would be more natural and respectful in this context. Aim to learn common employment collocations and choose precise terms, such as “reduced productivity,” “suitable roles” and “physical demands,” then check that each phrase fits its sentence.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some complex sentence forms, such as “This could be because of facts like…” and “The problem can also be solved with government introducing policies…,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence construction, articles, agreement and prepositions. Examples include “in some country,” “disease like myopia,” “reduction in productive by person,” and “Also, can do jobs,” which lacks a clear subject. The phrase “policies for to be nominated” is also grammatically faulty. These problems sometimes make the reader pause to interpret your meaning. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check singular/plural forms and article use before submitting.
