Student answer (Band 5.5)

In many parts of the world, qualified individuals over the age of 50 face significant hurdles when trying to secure suitable employment, regardless of their extensive professional experience. This issue is primarily caused by corporate age bias and a perceived lack of modern technical skills among older job seekers. However, it can be effectively addressed by enforcing anti-age-discrimination laws and providing subsidized digital skills training for senior workers.

To begin with, most of compines now a day's preffered freshly graduate instead of elder people. Because, many people argu that elder peolple had enough knowledge about modern techonolgies and skill, they had not proper problem solving capacity in moderm era. For instance, many individual assuming young and freshly graduatr people, because they think that young peolpe engouh skill like artifical intelligence and can adopt modern complex problem and take them in better way. Theirfore, many companiess preffer young individuals.

On the other hand, government and compiness responsibilty to take action like, blind CV's (no age, date of birth and picture not mention on cv's), provide proper tarining work shops. Government give subsidies to different orgnization that provide advance technical skill that provide job opportunities to elder residences. For example, country like japan government provide subsidies to compiness that retrain employ above 50. These some step play a vital role to control enemployment ratio.

In conculsion, most to compiness pulled of their elder employ and hire new young residence, because the orgnization think that most elder employ not engouh skill and knoweldge to solve complex modren issue. In contrast government and compiness strat workshops to retrain their old worker to reduce enemployment level.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both parts of the question and establish a clear position: age bias and perceived gaps in technical skills are causes, while anti-discrimination measures and training are proposed solutions. The discussion of employers preferring younger graduates gives a relevant explanation, and the example of subsidised retraining in Japan supports your proposed measures. However, some ideas are asserted rather than fully explained. For instance, the claim that older workers lack problem-solving capacity is presented as an employer perception, but its basis and consequences could be clarified. The solutions also need more detail about how blind CVs or workshops would improve access to good jobs. Develop each cause-and-solution link more fully and support examples with clearer explanation.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph explaining causes, a paragraph proposing measures, and a conclusion. The opening also previews the main points, helping the reader follow the argument. You use signposts such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion,” although the contrast marker “On the other hand” does not precisely describe the shift from causes to solutions. Some connections between sentences are unclear, particularly in the first body paragraph, where the explanation of employers’ assumptions moves quickly from technical skills to problem-solving. The conclusion repeats the main points but adds little synthesis. Use more precise transitions and make the relationship between each example and its main idea explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “age bias,” “digital skills training,” “subsidies,” and “retrain,” which helps communicate the main argument. However, the range is limited by repeated general terms such as “people,” “skill,” and “modern,” and several inaccurate word choices or spellings make parts difficult to read. Examples include “compiness,” “freshly graduate,” “elder residences,” and “enemployment.” Some phrases also do not collocate naturally, such as “take them in better way.” Aim to use accurate employment-related expressions consistently, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary for discrimination, recruitment, and workplace training would make your ideas clearer and more convincing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use a mixture of simple statements and attempts at longer structures, including the opening sentence with “despite” and the final sentence beginning “because.” The overall meaning is generally recoverable, but there are some errors in sentence formation and control. For example, “Because, many people argu…” is a fragment, while “government and compiness responsibilty to take action” lacks a complete grammatical structure. Subject–verb agreement and verb forms also need attention, as in “most of compines… preffered” and “government give subsidies.” Punctuation around introductory phrases is sometimes awkward. Practise building complete sentences with clear subjects and verbs, and check agreement and tense when revising.
