Student answer (Band 5.0)

In recent times, people over the age of 50 do not get employment or it can be very difficult to get instead of being more experienced than the young ones. There are many reasons for it but government should take effective steps to resolve this matter.

In my opinion, the Individuals over the age of 50 are not able to get better jobs despite of their experience more than young employers. This is due to several reasons such as; The adult people do not work efficiently as the young ones Moreover it involves the factors that are health of the adult both physical and mental. Moreover, some individuals have their physical health similar with the youngs so they can also do jobs as the young ones do. However,The adult subjects cannot do the work due to back pain, also pain in legs as well as different health conditions which do not allow them to work effciently.

From my perspective, the recomended measures to solve this issue can be the one that government should make the particular policies concerned with the people over the age of 50 to get their employment depends on their past abilities. Furthermore, There should be the jobs which involves less physical activities also suitable for the individuals over the age of 50.

It can be concluded that the subjects over the age of 50 are more experienced than the young ones cannot get jobs due to their physical health which is not as good as young employers. However, Government should make the policies and opportunities to make jobs easier for the adults.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both parts of the question by identifying health and physical limitations as a cause and suggesting government policies and less physically demanding jobs. However, the response only partially develops the causes: the claim that older adults “do not work efficiently as the young ones” is broad and unsupported, and the discussion focuses almost entirely on health rather than explaining other possible barriers, such as employer bias or outdated skills. The proposed measures are relevant but remain general; explain what policies might require employers to do and how suitable roles could be created. Your conclusion restates the main points, but the position and supporting ideas need clearer, fuller development to answer the task convincingly.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions, and a conclusion. This helps the reader follow the broad direction of your answer. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven: the causes paragraph moves from efficiency to health and then to an exception without clearly linking these points. Connectors such as “Moreover” are repeated, while “However” does not always signal a clear contrast. Some references, including “the subjects” and “the one,” are unclear. Organise each body paragraph around one main point, then explain and illustrate it in sequence. More precise linking and referencing would make the overall arrangement more coherent.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to employment and the topic, including “physical health,” “policies,” “employment,” and “physical activities.” However, the range is limited and several expressions are repetitive or unnatural, which sometimes makes the meaning less clear. For example, “young employers” appears to mean young workers, while “the adult subjects” is an awkward way to refer to older people. There are also spelling errors such as “effciently” and “recomended.” Aim for more precise topic vocabulary and check spelling and collocations. Replacing repeated general terms with accurate alternatives would help express your ideas more clearly and flexibly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “which” and “despite,” but complex structures are often faulty. For example, “the Individuals … are not able to get better jobs despite of their experience more than young employers” has problems with article use, the construction after “despite,” and comparison. The opening sentence also lacks a clear grammatical structure, and “the subjects … are more experienced … cannot get jobs” joins ideas without a correct linking structure. Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, as in “Moreover,The” and “However,The.” Practise building accurate sentences around one main clause, then add subordinate clauses; this will make your meaning easier to follow.
