Student answer (Band 5.0)

These days there is an ongoing debate among people about difficulty of getting jobs for aged people above the age of 50,old people dont have much capicity to do work along with this young generation has alot of job issues so there is much preferance of youngsters over aged people.in my opinion it has both pros and crons .this eassy will analyse the primary cause at this issue and propose several viable solutions to mitigate its effects .

One of the major cause of this problem is that they have less efficency to do work .if people above the age of 50 are still on their jobs than it will lessen the oppertiunity for young generation to avail the chance of jobs .Secondly ,health issues become the real obstacle in the path of jobs for older citizens.Thirdly, they are less familiar with the latest tecnology and have no knowledge to cope with advanced gadgets.

First of all this issue can resolved with the awarness to 50 plus age people with latest tecnology. They must know how to use advanced machines and their accessories.Last but not the least, they should provided with proper medication on monthly basis so they should their work properly.

To conclude,i concide that people with old age have to face job restrictions is an integral part in overall development of scociety .I would strongly recomend that peolple with 50 over age should have chance for job. Goverment should take steps that youngsters and old people have equal oppertiunity for jobs so that there should no more poorty in the society.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both parts of the prompt by naming possible causes—reduced work efficiency, competition with younger workers, health problems and limited familiarity with technology—and suggesting technology awareness and medical support. However, the response only partially develops these points. For example, the claim that older workers reduce opportunities for young people is asserted rather than explained, and the proposed measures are not clearly connected to all the causes. The introduction also says the essay will discuss causes and solutions, but the conclusion shifts to equal job opportunities without clarifying how these would be achieved. A clearer, consistent position and specific explanations or examples for each main idea would make the response more complete and persuasive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify the main stages of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is limited, and several points are presented as a list rather than developed in a connected line of reasoning. Linking phrases such as “Secondly” and “First of all” provide some organisation, but “Last but not the least” is awkwardly used, and the relationship between the ideas is not always clear. The conclusion introduces equal opportunities and poverty without linking them fully to the proposed measures. Develop each paragraph around a clear central point and use referencing and transitions more precisely.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “health issues,” “latest technology,” “advanced gadgets” and “equal opportunity.” These choices make the general subject understandable. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or misspelled forms make the writing less clear, such as “capicity,” “efficency,” “oppertiunity,” “tecnology” and “poorty.” Some expressions are also unnatural or imprecise: “aged people” and “real obstacle in the path of jobs” do not sound idiomatic in this context. Build a more accurate range of employment-related vocabulary and check spelling and collocations carefully. More precise wording would help distinguish age discrimination, skills gaps and health-related barriers.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You use some simple sentences and attempt longer structures, including a conditional sentence beginning “if people above the age of 50…” and a concluding recommendation. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. Examples include “One of the major cause,” “this issue can resolved,” and “they should provided,” where agreement or verb forms are incorrect. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also often missing, as in the opening, which runs several ideas together. Practise forming complete sentences with accurate subject–verb agreement, articles and verb patterns, then separate related ideas with full stops. A few controlled complex sentences would improve variety without sacrificing clarity.
