Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both parts of the question by identifying health concerns and salary expectations as causes, then proposing less physically demanding roles, flexible hours, incentives and training. These ideas are relevant, and the example of moving an experienced worker into an advisory or training role helps illustrate a practical measure. However, the causes and solutions are not developed evenly: the health point is difficult to follow, and the salary explanation largely repeats the claim that older workers cost more without explaining how this affects hiring. The conclusion also narrows the causes to health and high salary, leaving out other possible factors. Develop each main idea with a clearer explanation of its impact and a specific supporting example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, separate paragraphs for causes and solutions, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “One major cause,” “Additionally,” and “In addition” helps readers follow the main points. However, some links are mechanical, and the progression within sentences is occasionally unclear. For example, “They may be physically demanding or long-hours jobs difficult” interrupts the explanation of health concerns, while “which would the authorities can encourage” makes the relationship between government support and employer incentives hard to follow. The conclusion repeats the main points but does not fully reflect the range of measures discussed. Use clearer sentence-level links and ensure each paragraph develops one idea in a logical sequence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “productivity,” “salary expectations,” “flexible working hours,” and “digital and professional skills.” These choices show an adequate range for discussing employment and possible policy responses. However, noticeable word-choice, collocation and spelling problems sometimes make the meaning less clear. Examples include “there is hard to find employment,” “the volume in certain deadline,” “more salary,” and misspellings such as “empolyess,” “encorage,” and “incentivies.” Some expressions, including “aged people,” are also less natural in this context. Aim for accurate, conventional collocations and check spelling carefully; this will make your ideas easier to understand without requiring more complicated vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including cause-and-effect clauses with “This is because” and conditional phrasing with “if.” Some sentences communicate the main point clearly, such as “Free training programs can help older employees update their digital and professional skills.” However, errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles and verb forms remain frequent enough to affect clarity. For example, “One of the effective solution would be the Business can provide” combines incompatible structures, and “Jobs for the aged people can only caused” has an incorrect verb form. The opening “there is hard to find employment” also needs a grammatical subject and construction. Practise building complete sentences with one clear main clause, then check agreement and verb forms.
