Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the question: you identify technological change as a cause and propose training by governments and employers. Your position is clear from the introduction through the conclusion, and the examples about workplace technology help illustrate the issue. However, the explanation focuses almost entirely on older workers’ unfamiliarity with devices; it would be more complete to explain why employers may prefer younger applicants, such as assumptions about adaptability or the cost of retraining. The proposed measures are relevant, but their likely impact and practical details are only briefly explained. Develop these points further and make the examples more directly support your reasoning to provide a fuller response to the task.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The essay has a clear four-paragraph structure, with an introduction, a paragraph on the cause, a paragraph on solutions, and a conclusion. The progression is easy to follow, and signposting such as “To explain it,” “Additionally,” and “To conclude” helps readers identify the stages of your argument. Some linking is rather formulaic, however, and phrases such as “the aforementioned issue” and “the same” make references less direct than they could be. The conclusion also repeats the main points without adding a final implication. To strengthen the organisation further, use more natural transitions and connect each example explicitly to the claim it supports, while keeping references to people and ideas clear.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic-related vocabulary, including “practical experience,” “modern technology,” “training sessions,” and “work efficiency.” These choices make the main ideas clear, and you attempt more formal expressions such as “viable solution.” Some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, including “good employment,” “core origin,” “find difficulties,” and “training period to new employees.” There are also spelling errors, for example “challanging,” “capaigns,” and “trainnings.” These do not prevent understanding, but they reduce precision and control. Aim for natural combinations such as “secure suitable employment,” “main cause,” and “have difficulty finding work,” and check spelling carefully before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including a conditional purpose clause in “so that elderly people also can get a chance to learn new skills” and a relative clause in “people who has good access.” The overall meaning remains clear, but some errors in agreement, articles, plurals, and sentence construction persist. For example, “senior citizen have” needs plural agreement, while “a good jobs” combines a singular article with a plural noun. In “companies could also provide training period,” an article is needed, and the long sentence beginning “Additionally” would be clearer if divided or joined with more accurate punctuation. Review subject–verb agreement and singular/plural forms, while continuing to practise complex sentences.
