Student answer (Band 5.0)
Yes,i agreed with the statement that in some countries,it is very difficult for the people over the age of 50 to get good jobs, despite their experience. In my opinion, about 80% of these people are those who are suffering from some kind of age factors like alzimer and joint problems. The main cause of this problem is that for good jobs the eligibility criteria is not fulfilled by these people. In these country they wants their youth to come forward and get these jobs.In some cases the advancment in technology aso matters despite of the fact that these people are very experienced in their work the problem arises that they are experties of old technology. The companies require those people who know the new technology which is a valid point because experties of old tecnology requires tranings to understand the working of new technology and in my opinion it is very difficult to train those people who are alreday above 50.So in conclusion tecnology and age factors are the main causes of not getting jobs. Now let`s move toward the measures that an be taken to solve this problem. There are certain steps that can be taken to make people get jobs.We can make some kind of jobs that are just meant for the people of old age.Like we can make jobs that are less efforting and suits these people. For example,we can make a resturant for old people in which workers are of 50 years of age.We can also provide them with online jobs in which their duty is of 2 hours and that suits their personality. In this way we can provide them effortless jobs and make them busy in work.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both parts of the question and give a clear general view that age-related factors and changes in technology make employment harder for older people. The discussion of employers seeking younger workers and preferring applicants familiar with new technology is relevant, but the claim that “about 80%” have health conditions is unsupported and risks overgeneralising. Your proposed measures—creating suitable jobs and offering online work—are relevant, yet they are not explained in enough detail, and the restaurant example is unclear as a practical solution. Develop the causes and measures with more specific reasoning or examples, and consider broader steps such as retraining or age-discrimination protections. The response contains 13 words copied from the task prompt; these were not counted in the reported total.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response follows a broadly understandable order: it introduces the problem, discusses causes, and then turns to possible measures. Phrases such as “The main cause” and “Now let’s move toward the measures” help signal these stages. However, the writing is presented as one long paragraph, so the shift from causes to solutions is not visually clear. Several ideas are joined in lengthy sentences, and transitions such as “So in conclusion” interrupt rather than strengthen the progression. Some links between points are also unclear, particularly the move from health conditions to eligibility criteria. Use separate paragraphs for the introduction, causes, solutions, and conclusion, and connect each point with more precise referencing and transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “eligibility criteria,” “advancement in technology,” and “experienced,” which helps communicate the main ideas. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “age factors” is vague, “less efforting” is not natural English, and “experties of old technology” does not clearly express the intended idea. There are also frequent spelling errors, including “alzimer,” “advancment,” and “tranings.” Build a more precise set of terms for employment and workplace change, and check spelling and collocations carefully. Prefer clear, accurate phrasing over attempting complex or unusual expressions.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer sentences and use clauses to explain causes, as in “despite the fact that these people are very experienced in their work.” This shows an effort to connect ideas, but the range of sentence structures remains limited, and complex sentences are often difficult to control. Errors in agreement and verb forms appear in “these country they wants” and “the eligibility criteria is not fulfilled.” Punctuation and spacing are also inconsistent, with many sentences joined by commas or run together, which makes the argument harder to read. Practise forming shorter, complete sentences first, then combine related ideas using accurate subordinate clauses. Check subject–verb agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries during proofreading.
