Student answer (Band 5.0)

Nowadays, In several nations, it is very hard to get empolyment for elder individuals who's age is above 50, despite their experience. This essay will discuss both reasons of this problem and solutions to solve it.However, according to my perspective, I strongly believe that elder don't work consistently due to their health problems and that is the main reason why they getva job.

One of the primary reasons why the senior citizens don't get a empolyment because of their health issue and lack of latest tecnology cause by their age moreover they also dont work over time and not work a long time with there full potential. For instance, many bigger companies hire individuals who know the advance ang new inovation and tecnology and older people lack on this stage so, consquently more companies donot hire older individuals.

On the other hand, there are a lot of solutions to solve this problem like companies allow older people to work from their home that can solve the problem of delays and government also play a role by giving pentions to senior citizens. For instace, nowadays, older people work because they donot have much funds for completing their basic needs of life if the government give pention to its sinior citizens it can solve its problem or if the companies make flexible schedule for older induividuals it is also very beneficial for them.

In conclusion, the judicious act as a catalyst and offer multiple advantages to senior citizens and international firms respectively.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You address both causes and possible measures, and your view that health problems affect older workers is stated in the introduction. However, the response only partially develops the task: the causes are mainly health and limited familiarity with technology, while the solutions are working from home, flexible schedules and pensions. These points are relevant, but the explanation is brief and some claims—such as older people not working consistently or at full potential—are asserted rather than supported with clear reasoning or evidence. The conclusion is also too general to summarise your argument. The response contains 248 words, so it does not meet the required minimum of 250. Develop each main idea with a specific explanation or example and make your position clearer throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, one on solutions and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify the main sections. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several ideas are joined in long, loosely connected sentences. For example, the causes paragraph moves from health issues to technology and then to companies’ hiring decisions without clearly explaining each link. Connectors such as “moreover,” “for instance” and “on the other hand” are used, but some transitions feel mechanical or do not clarify the relationship between claims. The final sentence, beginning “the judicious act,” does not clearly connect to the preceding discussion. Use clearer topic sentences and divide explanations into shorter, logically linked steps.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “senior citizens,” “flexible schedule,” “potential” and “innovation,” and the reader can generally understand your intended meaning. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make the writing less clear, such as “empolyment,” “tecnology,” “pention” and “sinior.” Some expressions are also unnatural or imprecise: “lack on this stage” and “the judicious act as a catalyst” do not communicate your ideas effectively. Repetition of “older people” and “problem” further limits variety. Build a more accurate set of topic-specific phrases and check spelling carefully; choose collocations that express the intended relationship, such as “lack digital skills” or “provide financial support.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a relative clause in “individuals who know the advance…” and conditional structures such as “if the government give…”. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some passages difficult to read. Examples include “One of the primary reasons… because,” the unclear clause “why they getva job,” and “if the government give pention,” where sentence structure and verb agreement are not controlled. Articles, plurals and punctuation also need attention, as in “a empolyment” and the run-on spacing around “experience. This essay.” Practise building complete sentences with one clear main clause, then check subject–verb agreement, articles and punctuation before adding further clauses.
