Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is very difficult to get good jobs for individuals over the age of 50 regardless of their experience in some countries. Overall, this problem is mainly caused by efficient work by youth and the poor economy of country, and it can be addressed by government that make any industry only for poeple who are over 50 in every city of country.
Absolutely, it is very challenging for people who are over 50 to find a good job in many countries. Firstly, the main cause of this problem is that the youth took the well jobs beacause they are more active, hard worker, energetic and have strong attention then the old ages people. For instance, I work in cotton factory where I saw that the manager said to the 55 old year man, you are not able to do work further in our factory because you are too old, too lazi and have not full attention on work. The manager replaced him by a young person.
Secondly, another reason of this problem is that the economy of country is poor and country is not able to produce enough jobs. Although, the people over the age of 50 have a lot of experience, the country have not enough jobs to give the older people. When people have not jobs, then they will move abroad and do work there beacuse that country have good jobs and as well good pay whetage.
This problem can be solved by constructed industries in every city of country that allow to work only old age people. This will help for those who are unemployed. These industries should be constructed by seeing the experience of their field.
In conclusion, this problem is primarily caused by efficient work by youth and poor economy of country, and it can be fix by making industries on for over the age of 50.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both parts of the question by giving causes—competition from younger workers and a weak economy—and proposing a measure. The factory example helps illustrate age-based rejection, and your position is clear in the introduction and conclusion. However, the ideas remain limited and are not fully developed: the claim that young people are more active does not explain why employers prefer them across different kinds of jobs, while the economic cause is only briefly linked to older workers’ prospects. The proposed solution of creating industries exclusively for people over 50 is also asserted rather than justified, and its feasibility or likely benefits are not explained. Develop each point with a clearer explanation and a relevant example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction, separate paragraphs for two causes, a solution paragraph, and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “In conclusion” make the progression easy to follow, and the factory anecdote is placed where it supports the first cause. This meets the lower-band expectation of clear overall organisation and shows some movement towards more flexible cohesion. However, links can feel mechanical, and some references are unclear—for example, “This problem can be solved by constructed industries” does not connect the proposed action smoothly to the preceding discussion. Use more varied transitions and make the relationship between each claim, explanation, and example explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including terms such as “experience,” “economy,” “unemployed,” and “industries.” However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or unnatural choices make parts of the response difficult to interpret. “Efficient work by youth” does not clearly express the intended cause, “well jobs” is imprecise, and “good pay whetage” is unclear. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “beacause,” “poeple,” and “lazi.” These issues fit a limited but minimally adequate range: the reader can usually understand your point, but word choice and spelling sometimes interfere. Build a bank of accurate employment-related collocations and proofread spelling.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast clause beginning “Although” and a relative clause in “industries … that allow to work.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences awkward or unclear. For example, “the country have not enough jobs” has problems with agreement and sentence construction, while “it can be fix” uses an incorrect verb form. The reported speech in the factory example also lacks clear punctuation and grammatical framing. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries, then check each longer sentence for a complete and correctly linked structure.
