Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is believed in few countries that getting better jobs can be very challenging for the people above the age of 50. This issue can be attributed to several reasons, including lack of energy and advancements in studies. Significant measures can be taken to solve this challenge, including Govt creating special rota for individuals above fifty years and by arranging workshops for them to keep up with recent advancements.
Beginning with the primay reason for people above 50 not getting better jobs is lack of energy. Although individuals above 50 look absolutely fine physically , their energy level becomes relatively low than an adult of 30 years. They try to do maximum efforts in their capacity but are not able to meet the rquirements of job and become exhausted easily, so companies prefer hirring young people whom are full of energy and capable of doing maximum tasks in less time. Secondary reason is due to major advancements in studies, old people have less knowledge about the new technology, and their techniques are less effective as compared to a freshly grduate person. To illustrate, elderly persons have less knowledge about how to use AI plateform compared to a youger adult.
First effective measure is the arrangement of special seats for people above 50 age by the Govt. Only older people will be hired on these seats, it will create greater opportunities of employment for elderly persons. Second solution is organizing workshops for older people, which informs them with latest ideas and technology, so that they will be able to keep up with latest trends.
To conclude, getting jobs can be difficult for older people because of less energy and advancement of technology. However, this can be addressed by creating special rota for people above 50 and organizing workshops to enhance their knowledge.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the question by identifying possible causes and proposing measures, and your position remains clear: older workers may struggle because of lower energy and limited familiarity with new technology, while targeted employment opportunities and workshops could help. The AI example gives one cause a concrete illustration. However, the causes and solutions are not developed equally: the claim that people over 50 have less energy is broad and would benefit from qualification or evidence, while the proposed “special seats” or rota is not explained in terms of how employers would implement it or why it would be effective. Develop each point with a specific example and explain the link between the problem and the proposed measure more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “Beginning with,” “First effective measure,” and “To conclude” help readers follow the main stages. The central progression is logical, but some linking is mechanical, and the causes paragraph contains several ideas in a long sequence, making the relationship between them less smooth. For example, the shift from energy levels to employers’ preferences and then to technological knowledge could be signposted more clearly. Use topic sentences to distinguish the two causes, and connect each proposed measure explicitly to the cause it addresses. This would make the progression more controlled and references easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of vocabulary, including “advancements,” “requirements,” “employment,” and “latest trends,” and the meaning is generally clear. There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “AI platform.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, including “special rota,” “special seats,” “advancements in studies,” and “informs them with latest ideas.” Spelling errors such as “primay,” “rquirements,” “hirring,” and “grduate” also reduce accuracy. Aim for more natural expressions, for example, “dedicated positions,” “advances in technology,” and “provide training on new tools.” Check spelling carefully and choose vocabulary that precisely describes the employment issue.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex structures, including a concession with “Although” and a cause-and-effect sentence beginning “so companies prefer…”. Most ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors occur in longer sentences. For example, “their energy level becomes relatively low than” uses an incorrect comparative pattern, and “companies prefer hiring young people whom are full of energy” has an incorrect relative pronoun. There are also issues with articles and sentence construction, as in “Beginning with the primary reason … is lack of energy.” Review comparative forms (“lower than”), relative clauses (“who are”), and article use. Breaking some long sentences into shorter, accurately controlled units would improve clarity while preserving your attempts at complex grammar.
