Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both parts of the question by identifying health and skills as causes and suggesting better nutrition and skills training as measures. This gives the response a relevant foundation. However, the discussion is only partial: the causes are asserted rather than explained in depth, and the proposed measures do not fully show how older workers could overcome barriers to hiring. For example, “people should get proper nutrition” focuses on individual health but does not address employers’ reluctance or workplace adjustments. The final point about “working hard and struggling” is broad and does not clearly develop a practical solution. Explain each cause and connect each measure directly to the employment problem, using a specific example or detail.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow this structure. Within paragraphs, however, progression is sometimes mechanical, with repeated frames such as “To explain,” “Similarly,” and “To clarify.” Some links between ideas are also unclear: the example about industries needing skills does not clearly demonstrate how older people can gain employment. The conclusion introduces a general comment about how people deal with difficulties rather than neatly summarising the causes and measures. Use fewer formulaic transitions and make each supporting sentence explicitly develop the point before it.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “physical health,” “lack of skills,” “proper nutrition,” and “employment.” These choices make the main subject understandable. However, the range is limited, and noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation errors sometimes make the message difficult to read, as in “diseses,” “employement facilities,” “different talents,” and “in a daily basis.” Some phrases are also vague or unnatural, such as “great field” and “for their survival.” Aim for more precise language about the issue—for example, age discrimination, outdated skills, retraining, and flexible working—and check spelling and common word partnerships. This would help you express the causes and solutions more clearly and accurately.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple statements and some attempts at longer structures, including “people didnot take care of their physical health and suddenly get diagnose…” and the sentence beginning “For instance.” However, the range is limited, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction occur frequently enough to make some ideas harder to follow. Examples include “people didnot… get diagnose,” “which is need in workplace,” and “working hard and struggling in a life can provides employment.” The opening sentence is also difficult to interpret because its grammatical structure is incomplete. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses. Check verb forms and agreement carefully, especially in longer sentences.
