Student answer (Band 5.5)

In various regions difficulty is been found to the people who are over 50 years in age to get a better job despite of having a general employment history. The causes of these problems are high competition in the market and cheaper options are available. The solutions of the same can be consistant traning of the person and having any of the skill which takes a lot of time to build.

The causes of the same is high competative market. In addition there are tons of freshers who are graduting with better and developed degrees this gives the employer the option to chose the best which will obviously be the fresher. For instance amazon fired its 300 employees who were over 55 years and hired new employees who recently got graduated. Secondly, the people whose age is over 50 will always have any experience which forces the employer to pay more to them but, not to the fresher as they are having no experiences their salary will be low.

The solutins of the same could be consistant traning which helps the employee to have the fresh and well informed mind like the fresher. To extend the employee can also learn the new ways of performing his work. For example, starlink an space organisation always provide free training sessions to its employees to keem them up to date. Secondly, the employee should try to evelop any kind of good and useful skill which makes makes the employeer to select you as an employee.

In nutshell, the problem of people over 50 in age of getting a good job is cause by high competation and its cheaper option availability in the market however, these challanges can be addressed by training the employees and by developing any rare skills.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both parts of the question by identifying causes—competition from younger graduates and employers’ preference for lower salaries—and proposing training and skill development. These ideas are relevant, and the examples about Amazon and Starlink help illustrate them. However, some claims are asserted rather than explained: the Amazon example, for instance, is presented as fact without showing how it demonstrates a general hiring trend. The proposed “useful skill” is also vague, and the essay could explain what kinds of skills or training would help older workers compete. Your overall position is clear, but the causes and solutions are not developed equally in depth.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for causes and solutions, and a conclusion. This makes the main progression easy to follow, and signposts such as “For instance,” “Secondly,” and “In nutshell” show how points relate. The organisation is coherent, but some linking is mechanical, particularly the repeated use of “Secondly” and “The causes/solutions of the same.” Connections between claims could also be made more explicit—for example, explain how training addresses employers’ concerns about older applicants’ skills. Some references, such as “the employee” and “you,” shift perspective and make the line of argument less consistent. More varied, precise transitions and clearer referencing would strengthen the flow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “competition,” “employment history,” “training sessions,” and “up to date.” However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or unnatural choices make the writing less clear. Phrases such as “cheaper options are available,” “fresh and well informed mind,” and “any kind of good and useful skill” are imprecise or awkward in this context. Spelling errors—including “competative,” “solutins,” and “challanges”—are noticeable, while repeated words such as “fresher” and “employee” reduce variety. Aim for accurate collocations and more specific terms, such as “lower-cost candidates,” “recent graduates,” and “digital skills.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a relative clause in “employees who recently got graduated” and a reason clause beginning “as they are having no experiences.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to read. Examples include “difficulty is been found,” “The causes … is,” and “The solutions … can be consistant traning,” which show problems with verb forms and agreement. Articles and sentence construction also need attention, as in “an space organisation” and “makes makes the employeer to select you.” Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly controlled subordinate clause, then check agreement, verb forms, and punctuation.
