Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You identify a relevant cause: employers may assume that people over 50 lack the “energy and spirit” needed for work, and you mention age limits in government recruitment. However, the response addresses the task only minimally. The causes are stated briefly rather than explained or supported with examples, and the proposed measures are not developed: “government take must responsibility” does not specify what action should be taken. The final point about citizens over 60 also shifts attention away from the question of helping people over 50 obtain good jobs. The response is 88 words below the required minimum, which leaves too little space to explain both causes and practical solutions. Develop each part with a clear example and a specific measure.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a basic attempt to move from causes to possible action: you first discuss age limits and employers’ assumptions, then refer to steps that might help older people. However, the ideas are not arranged into clear, developed paragraphs, and the progression is difficult to follow. For example, “it may help on these people and take step to onward” does not make clear which measure you mean or how it follows from the causes. The repeated use of “and” and “it may” also does little to show relationships between points. Organise the response into an introduction, a paragraph explaining causes, and a paragraph proposing solutions; use clear linking phrases and refer explicitly to the ideas already introduced.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “age criteria,” “private sectors,” “fitness,” and “senior citizen,” so the reader can identify the general subject. However, the range is basic and several word choices or collocations make the meaning unclear, such as “struggling on jobs sectors,” “allowed to sit in exam,” and “take step to onward.” Spelling and word-form errors, including “Definitly,” “sectore,” and “govenment,” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise employment-related expressions and check spelling and collocations. For instance, describe older applicants as facing “age discrimination” or “age restrictions,” and state that employers may question their “physical stamina” or “adaptability” rather than using broad, unclear phrases.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to connect ideas in longer sentences, for example, “it may cause a problem and organization thought that over 50 years have not energy and spirit of work,” but sentence structures are often incomplete or inaccurately formed. Errors with articles, agreement, and verb forms occur throughout: “organization thought” needs a suitable plural or article and verb form, while “government have not allowed” does not show consistent agreement or tense. The opening sentence also combines several ideas without clear sentence boundaries, and punctuation is frequently missing. These problems sometimes make the intended meaning hard to follow. Practise writing accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with controlled clauses such as “because” or “although,” checking subjects, verbs, articles, and full stops.
