Student answer (Band 5.5)
In some countries, getting good jobs for people aging over 50 is getting very crucial instead of having experience. This is because, the companies are more intrested in young people who can work for long term. Health related issues for old people is also a probelm. This can be solved by giving separate quota for old age people and government funding is also a solution.
Nowadays, companies are more intrested in young workforce because they can work for the company more efficienlty. Old people cannot work for more hours, thats why they are not getting any jobs. New generation brings more ideas and innovation for the companies rather than the old people with old mindset. Adults can sit for long hours doing work without any health problems. The people reaching old age over 50 can have health problems like diabetes and blood pressure. They cannot sit at a desk for a longer period. Companies do not want to pay for the health insurance thats why they don't hire old people. For instance: Big tech companies have the age limit for each department of the work, if a person cross that limit of age then he/she will be replaced by young aspirant for that job.
Solutions for these problems can be a quota for these old people. Companies should have quota for these people in the jobs which require minimal effort. Associated quota for old age people will help them with financial crisis depite being old. Jobs that take no effort or slight effort should be allocated for the people reaching old age. Government should take steps for funding these people. A seprate oldage fund should be alotted for these individuals. For example, the government of United Kingdom provides a seprate fund for the people over the age of 65 which includes free transport and some money for their monthly expense.
In conclusion, old age people are not getting jobs because of young workforce and healthy young people with no health issues. A seprate quota in the companies and government funds for old age people is a good solution to deal with problem.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both causes and possible measures, and your position is clear: age-related hiring barriers should be tackled through workplace quotas and government support. The causes you identify—employers preferring younger workers, concerns about health, and insurance costs—are relevant. However, several claims are broad or insufficiently explained, such as saying older people cannot work long hours or that technology companies set age limits. The proposed quota and funding are also presented briefly, with little discussion of how they would be implemented or whether they would address discrimination directly. The UK example concerns support for people over 65 rather than access to good jobs, so its relevance is limited. Develop fewer ideas with clearer explanation and more directly relevant evidence.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, one on solutions, and a conclusion. This makes the main line of argument easy to follow, and phrases such as “For instance” and “In conclusion” signal examples and closure. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical, with several claims placed one after another rather than linked through explanation. The causes paragraph moves from productivity to health and insurance without showing how these concerns relate. Some references are also unclear, as in “these people” and “that limit.” Improve cohesion by grouping related points, using more precise references, and explaining the connection between each claim and the next.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “young workforce,” “health insurance,” “financial crisis,” and “government funding.” However, the range is limited and several phrases are inaccurate or unnatural, which sometimes makes the intended meaning less clear. For example, “getting very crucial” does not express the difficulty of finding work, while “old mindset” is an imprecise generalisation. There are also repeated spelling errors, including “intrested,” “probelm,” “efficienlty,” and “seprate,” alongside awkward expressions such as “jobs which require minimal effort.” Build a more precise vocabulary for age discrimination and employment, and check spelling and collocations carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a reason clause in “This is because…” and a conditional structure in “if a person cross that limit…”. However, control is inconsistent, and errors occur often enough to make some sentences awkward or difficult to process. Examples include “people aging over 50,” “Health related issues for old people is,” and “if a person cross,” where sentence structure, agreement, or verb form needs correction. Punctuation and sentence boundaries also need attention: there is missing spacing after full stops, and the colon after “For instance” is not needed. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, and conditional forms, then proofread each sentence.
