Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You cover all three visuals and report several relevant patterns, including the decline in the share naming crime as a worst feature and the rise and subsequent fall in concern about litter. However, the response is mainly a sequence of individual descriptions rather than a clear overview of the most important findings. Some details are inaccurate: crime falls to about 38–40% in Years 2 and 3, not below 40% in both years as stated; traffic congestion is roughly unchanged in Year 2 before falling in Year 3; and the best-things chart includes an additional category that is not described. The line-graph account also omits the key comparison that litter remains the highest concern. Add a concise overview and check each trend against the chart.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a generally understandable order: it introduces the visuals, then discusses the first bar chart, the second chart and finally the line graph. This grouping helps the reader follow the report. However, the body is largely a chain of similar sentence patterns beginning with a category name, and there is little synthesis or comparison between features. Some transitions are awkward, such as moving directly from the bar charts to “In the lie graph,” while repeated phrases such as “in the first year” make the account feel mechanical. Use a separate overview paragraph and group related trends—for example, the leading positive features and the most prominent problems—so the progression is clearer and comparisons are easier to see.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough topic vocabulary to identify the main categories, including “job opportunities,” “traffic congestion,” “cost of housing” and “major problem.” The repeated use of “increased,” “decreased,” “remained” and “a little,” however, limits precision and makes the descriptions repetitive. Some expressions are also unnatural or unclear, such as “the percentage of best things,” “came below 70%” and “the number of people which see litter.” Spelling errors—including “percentge,” “meuseums,” “Nigt” and “agin”—are noticeable and reduce the accuracy of the report. Build a more varied set of trend verbs and use standard chart-report collocations, while proofreading category names and common words.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some longer sentences to describe changes over time, and the reader can usually understand the intended comparisons. However, sentence structures are mostly simple or joined by “but,” and errors recur in agreement, articles, verb forms and punctuation. For example, “The percentage of people seeing noise as major problem were” has a singular subject with a plural verb and is missing an article; “the number of people which see litter” also has an unsuitable relative construction and tense. Several sentences run together without spaces after full stops, while commas are often placed inconsistently. Practise accurate comparative clauses and vary sentence forms, then check subject–verb agreement, articles and sentence boundaries during editing.
