Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response covers the main features of the charts, but the analysis is somewhat superficial. While you identify key trends, the data interpretation is occasionally inaccurate or vague, such as stating categories were 'on the same spot' or using imprecise percentages. To reach a higher band, you must ensure that the data points cited are accurate and that the comparison between the charts is more analytical rather than just listing figures. The overview is present but could be more clearly linked to the specific trends shown in the graphs. Ensure you distinguish clearly between the 'best' and 'worst' aspects as requested by the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'To commence with' and 'Moving forward'. There are also instances where the logical flow between sentences is hindered by awkward phrasing, making the progression of ideas feel a bit disjointed. Referencing is sometimes unclear, particularly when discussing the data points across the three years. Improving the variety and precision of your linking words will help create a smoother, more professional flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for a higher band. There are several instances of word-choice errors and non-standard collocations, such as 'public residential in london', 'lessen than other', and 'noice was less than'. These errors occasionally cause the reader to pause. To improve, focus on using more academic vocabulary related to data description (e.g., 'fluctuated', 'remained stable', 'a significant proportion') and ensure that your terminology for the survey categories is accurate and correctly spelled.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include incorrect article usage ('in the year 3'), subject-verb agreement ('things which individuals found worst... was'), and awkward sentence construction ('percent of people in a majority found litter as major problem'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to lower the score. You should focus on proofreading for basic errors in tense consistency and pluralization to ensure your writing is more accurate.
