The bar charts and line graph below show the results of a survey conducted over a three-year period to discover what people who live in London think of the city.

Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information below.

What are the best things about living in London?

the given bar charts and line graph are showing the consequences of a survey taken over a 3 year period to find out about the people thinking who live in London.

Looking first at the positive aspects, around 45% of people selected the range of shops in year 1, compared with approximately 43% in year 3. Job opportunities and the mixture of people were also popular, although both declined slightly over the period. In contrast, museums and art galleries became more popular, increasing from about 30% to 36%. Nightlife also rose gradually, while transport remained relatively stable.

Regarding the negative aspects, the cost of living was identified by about 57% of respondents in year 1,before falling to around 50% in year 3. Finally, litter was the most commonly reported major problem, reaching about 77% in year 2 before falling to 69% in year 3. Air quality and noise showed smaller declines over the same period.

Overall, the range of shops was consistently regarded as the best feature of London, while the cost of living, traffic congestion and crime were among the most significant disadvantages. Litter was also considered the biggest environmental problem throughout the period.
