The bar charts and line graph below show the results of a survey conducted over a three-year period to discover what people who live in London think of the city.

Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information below.

What are the best things about living in London?

Student answer (Band 5.0)

A survey is conducted over three year period about three main experences of living in London. Survey is about three main things - best and worst things about living in London and these things being a major problem in London.

Questions asked in survey for being the best thing in London are;

1. Range of shops,

2. Job oppurtunities,

3. Mixture of people,

4. Museums & art galleries,

5. Night life, and

6. Transport

Over the three year period, 45% people confimred the best thing about living in london is access and range of shops which also suggested that most people come to London for the shopping expeirence.

Transport being the least best thing about London. This is because of too much traffic in central London.

Traffic and congestion is also the marked as the worst thing about London in survey. Around 58% voted for traffic being the worst in London.

Along with traffic, cost of living and crime were voted as almost same and around 59% voted for these as the worst thing about living in London.

Moreover, major problem identified by people in survey is the litter, noise and air quality. People voted 'Yes' for them as a major problems about living in London. In year 2, around 75% of people participated in survey have same opinion but in year 3, it is decreased to 60% on average.

Overall, along with the best things about living in london, people voted most for the worst things and major problems of living which indicates the deteroiting condition of London over the three year period,
