IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The bar charts and line graph below show the results of a survey conducted over a three-year period to discover what people who live in London think of the city.

Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information below.

What are the best things about living in London?

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The bar graph depics the information regarding the best and worst artefact about living in london and the line graph gives answer of the major question which is are these things really a major problem and the answer is further divided into three sub lines which are litter, air quality and noise.

From the first and second bar graph it is clear that the best thing about living in london is the range of shops which is 45% in the first year which got reduced in year 2 to 41% and in the year 3 it got increased a little to 42% and the worst commodity's of living in london is the living cost, traffic congestion and crime which are 58% in the year 1 and passing of the years in the year 3 crime got reduced sharply to 40% while other two are still 50%.

The second line graph shows that in the year 1 people thinks that litter is the major problem showing a 70% majority which got increased to approximately 77% in year 2 and after that in the year 3 it got reduced to 68% which is still highest than the air quality and noice which are at 65% and 58% and the respones for these two shows a steady decrease in the percentage of people answering yes.

Overall, we can conclude that the best thing of london is the variety of shops and worst thing is the living cost expenditure and the major problem in london according to people is the litter over there.
