Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

The response attempts to describe the charts and graphs provided in the prompt, but it does so in a minimal and disorganised manner. While it touches upon various data points across the charts regarding the best and worst things about London, as well as the major problems like litter, air quality, and noise, the information is presented as a dense, unselected list of figures without a clear overview. Furthermore, there is confusion regarding the data categories, such as mentioning 'Silver, White, Black' which do not relate to the charts. The reporting of data is partial and lacks clear synthesis, making it difficult for the reader to grasp the main trends across the three-year period.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The information and ideas are not arranged coherently. The entire response is written as a single, massive run-on paragraph, completely lacking appropriate paragraphing or structural organisation. Cohesive devices are either missing or repetitive, heavily relying on the continuous use of 'and in year...' to connect clauses. There is no clear logical progression or structuring to guide the reader through the different charts provided in the prompt, resulting in a confusing flow of information from start to finish.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, mostly restricted to numbers, percentages, and basic nouns and adjectives directly taken or roughly adapted from the prompt, such as 'range of shope', 'might life', and 'worst thing'. There are noticeable errors in word form and spelling, such as 'shope' instead of 'shops', 'might life' instead of 'night life', and 'amd' instead of 'and'. The lexical range is minimally adequate to convey basic data points, but errors and limitations in word choice occasionally strain comprehension.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The grammatical range is very limited, consisting almost entirely of a long chain of simple clauses joined by coordinating conjunctions like 'and'. There is a complete lack of varied complex sentence structures. Frequent errors in punctuation, run-on sentences, and missing articles are present throughout the text, such as in 'Here a diagram that is given and i explain now I continue'. Control over basic grammatical structures is weak, and these frequent mechanical errors cause difficulty for the reader.
