Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You cover the positive and negative aspects and the separate major-problems graph, and you identify several relevant patterns, such as shops being the leading positive feature and litter being a major concern. However, some comparisons are imprecise or inaccurate: the three leading negative features do not all decrease steadily, since traffic congestion is unchanged between Years 1 and 2 before falling, while crime drops sharply and then rises slightly. The litter figure peaks at about 75% in Year 2, rather than 78%, and the final paragraph says litter stayed close to 70% in Years 1 and 2, overlooking that peak. An overview is present but not sufficiently clear across all three charts; make the main contrasts and trends explicit and support them with accurate comparisons.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a coherent overall arrangement: it introduces the charts, discusses positive and negative features, and then turns to the major problems. Paragraphing helps the reader follow these broad sections, and phrases such as “Probing further” and “On analyzing the line graph” signal transitions. However, the progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to track because several categories and trends are compressed into long sentences. The overview is also mixed with details rather than clearly separated, and “these figures” does not make clear which figures are being referred to. Use a concise overview after the introduction, then group related comparisons consistently and use precise references to the relevant years and categories.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range of task-related vocabulary, including “respondents,” “accounting for,” “fluctuated,” and “steady decrease,” which helps describe the data. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “Probing further.” However, some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward: “the most largest number,” “likeness for museum,” and “dislikeness” do not express the intended comparisons naturally. Spelling slips such as “percenatge” and “reamined” also reduce accuracy. Choose standard chart-report language and check spelling; for example, describe a feature as “popular” or “highly rated,” and say that a proportion “fell” or “rose” rather than using unclear expressions.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex structures, including clauses with “although” and participial phrasing such as “reaching the highest percentage.” Most of the meaning remains understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. Examples include missing articles or prepositions in “over period of 3 years” and “seems to a major problem,” and the sentence beginning “While the major problem reported” is incomplete. There are also problems with sentence boundaries and spacing, for example “year 3.This category” and the run-on construction around “over years . Cost of living.” Improve control by checking articles, ensuring each sentence has a complete main clause, and separating long comparisons into shorter, accurately punctuated sentences.
