Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the main categories and provide an overview, noting that shops lead the positive features and that litter rises before falling. However, some key comparisons are inaccurate or unclear: traffic is not the highest negative feature in every year (crime is marginally highest in Year 1), and the claim that shops increase across all years is incorrect, as the figure falls in Year 2 before recovering. The statement that the highest negative figure is about 59% in both the first and second years also misrepresents the data. Several details are too vague to show the trends clearly, and the final sentence is unfinished. Select the most important comparisons and report their direction and approximate values accurately.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, an overview and separate paragraphs for the chart groups. Linking expressions such as “Overall,” “In details,” and “Furthermore” help signal these sections. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow: the overview combines several claims without clearly distinguishing the positive, negative and problem charts, and “Whereas” introduces a fragment rather than a complete contrast. Some references, such as “the highest proportion” and “all categories,” are not sufficiently specific. The final line ends abruptly, weakening the report’s conclusion. Organise each paragraph around a clear chart and use precise references to categories and years to make the comparisons easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant chart vocabulary, including “percentage,” “proportion,” “decreased,” and “fell,” and you attempt some variation rather than relying entirely on basic words. However, several choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “the outcome of a survey about thinking of people,” “is accounted as highest,” and “fell down.” Repetition of “highest,” “percentage,” and “recorded” also limits flexibility. There are noticeable spelling errors, including “perecentage,” “percenatge,” and “gradullay,” which reduce the accuracy of the report. Use standard data-reporting phrases such as “respondents’ views,” “was the highest,” and “declined,” and check spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “whereas” and “while,” but control is inconsistent. Errors in sentence construction include “the highest proportion is noticed in traffic” and the incomplete contrast beginning “Whereas, in the worst things…”. There are also problems with articles, agreement and verb forms, as in “the percentage of people's answer is decreasing” and “litter is increased.” The final sentence, “Similarly, air quality fell gradullay around63% i,” is incomplete and makes the meaning difficult to recover. These recurring errors mean that complex structures are not yet used reliably. Build complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check tense and agreement when describing changes over the three years.
