Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You cover all three visuals and provide an overview, identifying shops as the leading positive feature and litter as a major concern. Several comparisons are relevant, but some figures and trends are inaccurate: the diversity of people is about 34–36%, not 39%, and museums and galleries rise from about 29% to 34.5%, rather than starting at 38%. The litter figure peaks at 75% in Year 2, not 80%, and the worst-things data do not show both traffic and crime falling from 57% to around 40%. Your overview also calls transport the least popular positive feature, although an unlabeled category is lower in Years 1 and 2. This addresses the task, but more careful selection and reporting of accurate comparisons would make the account more complete and precise.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, an overview, and separate paragraphs for the positive features, disadvantages, and major problems. This makes the three parts of the task easy to locate. Linking phrases such as “Overall,” “Regarding the disadvantages,” and “Another notable aspect” help guide the reader, though some are repeated or used to introduce claims that are not clearly supported. The overview also combines several points in a long sentence, making the relationship between them less clear. Improve progression by grouping the most important comparisons within each chart and using references such as “this figure” only when the referent is unmistakable. The organisation is coherent, but cohesion is not consistently smooth.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range of vocabulary for describing survey results, including “percentage,” “decreasing steadily,” “diversity,” and “major issue.” Some attempts at more specific language are effective, but several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, such as “the diversity of the shops,” “cost of living is accounted for 58%,” and “unconvenient.” Spelling errors—including “avalable,” “oppertunities,” “managment,” and “regardng”—also reduce accuracy. These do not prevent the reader from understanding the main points, but they limit precision and polish. Prefer standard chart-reporting phrases such as “accounted for,” “was considered,” and “the range of shops,” and check spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “while” and “whereas,” and most of the message remains understandable. However, some grammatical errors recur. For example, “The best thing … remains” does not agree with the plural idea that follows, and “This percentage decrease … however remain” has problems with verb form and agreement. In “cost of living is accounted for 58%,” the sentence pattern is not grammatical; use “the cost of living was cited by 58%.” There are also article, plural, and punctuation issues, such as “the the perspectives” and inconsistent capitalisation after sentence breaks. More consistent control of agreement, tense, and sentence boundaries would strengthen accuracy.
