Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You cover the main themes across the charts and include an overview: shops are identified as a leading positive, while cost of living, congestion and litter are presented as major concerns. However, several details are inaccurate or unclear. The figures of 45%, 43% and 44% are assigned to job opportunities, although they refer to range of shops; job opportunities are about 38%, 35% and 35%. The claim that congestion and crime remain above 50% throughout is also incorrect, as both fall below that level in later years. The final chart is only partly described: litter, air quality and noise trends are mentioned, but the claimed 20% decrease in litter is not supported. More precise comparisons and accurate coverage of all three visuals would strengthen the report.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an opening, an overview and separate paragraphs for positive and negative features. This gives the reader a broad route through the information. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several chart topics are combined in long sentences, and links such as “Moreover,” and “On the other side” are used mechanically. References such as “this rate” and “these things” do not always make clear which category or year is meant. Organise the details more systematically—for example, compare the three-year trends for positive features first, then the negative features and problem ratings—and use clearer references to categories and years.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to describing survey results, including “aspects,” “period,” “decrease,” “congestion” and “fluctuate.” However, the range is limited and many spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the report difficult to understand, such as “preciptions,” “wrost,” “disappiont” and “flucate.” Some combinations are also unnatural, including “more range of shops” and “peak problem.” Use accurate chart-reporting phrases and check spelling carefully; for example, describe a category as “the most frequently cited advantage” rather than “the best things people narrates.” Greater precision in terms such as “proportion,” “rose,” “fell” and “remained stable” would help communicate comparisons more clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

There are attempts to connect ideas in longer sentences, but control of sentence structure is weak, and errors often make relationships between ideas unclear. For example, “the best aspects that people narrates in the graph is most of range of shops” has problems with clause structure and subject–verb agreement. Other examples include “people is feel worst” and “the people also agree eith having these things is litter,” where the sentence pattern is difficult to follow. Articles, plurals and verb forms are also inconsistent. Aim first for accurate simple sentences, such as “The proportion choosing shops was highest in Year 1,” then add carefully controlled comparisons using “while” or “whereas.” Check punctuation and avoid joining several claims with commas.
