In various countries, the count of people continuing their education after school and the range of courses universities provide has deliberately increased due to modernisation.

People continuing their higher education not only contributes to the individual but also to the society. Pursuing higher education helps in earning better, as well as taking correct political decisions which benefits the society. For example, In Germany, education is free as even people who are not able to afford it can also continue their studies in government-funded universities. Its clear that people who continue their education after school has significantly increased because of free education.

Colleges and universities also provide a variety of courses to choose from, so that people can narrow down their field of interest and specialize in specific field that they like to study. This has made people work in several different sectors contributing to the betterment of the world.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear: you regard increased participation in higher education and a wider course choice as positive. You address both developments and give relevant examples, including publicly funded universities in Germany and expanded course options in India. The points about better earnings, civic decision-making and women’s independence support your view, but they are not developed equally: the link between education and making “correct political decisions” is asserted rather than explained, and the course-variety paragraph would benefit from a specific example of how a new course meets a need. This meets the task well overall, with some ideas supported but not yet extended consistently. To strengthen the response, explain the effects of each main point and connect examples more explicitly to your argument.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs on participation and course choice, a further paragraph on women’s education, and a conclusion that restates your positive view. The ideas generally progress logically, and phrases such as “For example” help signal supporting evidence. However, some links are mechanical or unclear. The opening sentence combines both trends without clearly previewing your position, while “Where they stand independent” does not connect smoothly to the preceding sentence. The Germany example also shifts from affordability to the claim that participation has increased without making the relationship fully clear. Use more precise referencing and transitions, and organise each body paragraph around one main claim followed by explanation and evidence.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range for the topic, including “pursuing higher education,” “government-funded universities,” “specialize,” and “economical status.” These choices allow you to discuss education, employment and social change, and the meaning is generally clear. There are also attempts at more formal vocabulary, but some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural: “the count of people” is less suitable than a phrase about the number of people, “earning better” is imprecise, and “intrigued many people to pursue” does not express the intended cause naturally. Repetition of “people,” “education” and “courses” also limits flexibility. Aim for more precise academic collocations and vary repeated terms while keeping the wording natural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and complex structures, including “not only … but also” and clauses beginning with “so that” and “who.” The main ideas remain understandable, but some errors in agreement, sentence construction, articles and punctuation reduce accuracy. For example, “People continuing their higher education … contributes” has a plural subject with a singular verb, and “people who continue … has significantly increased” has the same agreement problem. “specialize in specific field” needs an article, while “Where they stand independent” is a sentence fragment. Capitalisation after full stops is also inconsistent. Review subject–verb agreement and sentence boundaries, then proofread punctuation and articles. More consistently accurate complex sentences would strengthen the response.
