Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. You have identified both the positive aspects (work opportunities, innovation) and the negative (imbalance in traditional fields). However, some ideas are slightly under-developed. For instance, the link between 'new fields' and 'broadening perspectives' is mentioned but not fully explored with concrete examples. To reach a higher band, ensure that every point is supported by a specific, detailed example rather than general statements. The conclusion effectively summarizes your stance, though it could be more explicit in restating the main arguments.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. You use cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore', 'Consequently', and 'Admittedly' to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is interrupted by awkward phrasing, such as 'The is attributed to...'. Additionally, the use of referencing is occasionally unclear, which creates minor confusion. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence flows naturally into the next will help improve the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'entrepreneurship', 'innovation', and 'global competitiveness'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and minor errors, such as 'acquiring world' (likely meant 'fast-paced world') and 'paybacks' (which is informal; 'benefits' or 'advantages' would be better). Some collocations are also slightly unnatural, such as 'less jobless people burden'. To improve, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensuring that words are used in their correct context to convey your meaning more effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is good. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues (e.g., 'gaining higher education undoubtedly have') and missing articles (e.g., 'in recent years number of people'). Punctuation is generally acceptable, but there are some awkward sentence constructions that impede clarity. While these errors do not completely prevent understanding, they occur frequently enough to impact the overall fluency. Focusing on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and article usage will significantly enhance your score.
