Student answer (Band 6.0)

According to my thinking this a very huge and positive development in the field of education. Because the more knowledge a person does have a more it could lead him to success in their life. Such as a person wanted to learn about computer courses to make development in the field of computer that person required more knowledge and understandings.

But it is required that the study should be about that subject from whom they wanted to progress and there is also many examples in my life such as my friend took part in computer science subject first he got under graduate degree and then masters and than PHD in that degree through this he got more knowledge than my graduate friend and also it have more experience than my graduate friend which is a huge positive point.

After this it also helps allot in job opportunities it means that a company willing to appoint that person who have more education and experience than any other person which is also a plus point.

And in many progressing nation we see that they are allot working and lending their full potential in the education field because the more the people of the nation is educated the more they will now about their of living in this nation and the more they will educate other peoples in their surroundings and they also give their full potential in that field from whom they are getting education and more education produce more straight forward things and more experience of that fiield.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear positive position. However, the development of ideas is limited and repetitive. While you mention job opportunities and national progress, the arguments lack depth and specific academic reasoning. The example regarding your friend is personal and somewhat informal, which is acceptable but could be better integrated to support the broader argument about educational trends. To improve, focus on providing more analytical explanations for why this trend is positive, such as the economic benefits of a highly skilled workforce or the personal growth of individuals, rather than relying on simple assertions.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the logical flow is hindered by repetitive sentence structures and a lack of varied cohesive devices. You rely heavily on 'and' and 'the more... the more' constructions, which makes the progression feel mechanical. Transitions between ideas are often abrupt, such as moving from the personal example to job opportunities. To achieve a higher band, use a wider range of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in addition to this') and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that guides the reader through your argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is basic and repetitive, often relying on simple words like 'huge', 'good', and 'things'. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'from whom they wanted to progress' and 'straight forward things'. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of precision and the limited range of vocabulary prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. You should aim to incorporate more academic collocations and topic-specific terminology related to higher education and professional development to demonstrate a more sophisticated command of the language.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors, particularly with verb tense, subject-verb agreement, and sentence structure. Examples include 'the more knowledge a person does have a more it could lead him', 'it have more experience', and 'the more they will now about their of living'. These errors are persistent and occasionally make the text difficult to follow. The sentence structures are largely simple or repetitive. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like pluralization and auxiliary verb usage before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
