In many countries these days, the number of people continuing their education after school has increased, and the range of courses available at universities and colleges has also increased.

You should use your own ideas, knowledge and experience and support your arguments with examples and relevant experience.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays, in almost all regions, literacy rate is growing rapidly and also the broad number of career possibilities are introduced in higher educational institutes. In my opinion, this is a positive development because as student numbers are increasing so it makes it harder for some candidates to get in high saturated fields so it also unlocks many career opportunities for them.
First of all, due to rapid increase in literacy rate, the most demanding fields are saturated and only top scoring candidates can get in. Furthermore, due to high competition, average candidates fall behind so introducing new career paths favors them. For instance, IT sector is the most growing field worldwide and i

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response is significantly under the 250-word minimum, which severely limits your ability to develop your ideas. You have identified the topic and stated a position, but the argument is cut off mid-sentence. Because the response is incomplete, it fails to address all parts of the task. To improve, you must ensure you provide a full introduction, at least two well-developed body paragraphs with supporting examples, and a clear conclusion. Currently, the ideas presented are too brief to be considered fully developed, and the lack of completion prevents a coherent argument from being established.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay shows a basic attempt at logical organization by using transition words like 'First of all' and 'Furthermore'. However, because the text is incomplete, it is impossible to assess the overall progression of ideas or the effectiveness of paragraphing. The cohesion is mechanical, and the abrupt ending prevents the flow of the argument. To achieve a higher score, you need to ensure that your ideas are linked smoothly across full paragraphs and that you use a wider range of cohesive devices to connect your points logically.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
You have used some relevant vocabulary such as 'literacy rate', 'saturated', and 'career possibilities'. However, the range is limited, and there are some awkward collocations, such as 'broad number of career possibilities' (a 'wide range' would be more natural). The vocabulary is sufficient for the limited content provided, but it lacks the sophistication and variety required for higher bands. You should focus on using more precise academic collocations and avoiding repetitive phrasing to demonstrate a broader lexical range.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are some grammatical errors, such as 'the broad number of career possibilities are introduced' (subject-verb agreement error: 'number' is singular) and 'get in high saturated fields' (should be 'highly saturated'). Punctuation is generally acceptable, but the incomplete nature of the text makes it difficult to judge your control over complex structures. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of adverbs to modify adjectives.
