Student answer (Band 4.5)
Developing countries should be allowed to industrialize even in this increase emissions, while other believe environmental standard should be apply equally to all countries. discuss both views and give your opinion.
Good environment plays a significant role in one country's development, industrialization also very crucial in development of countries but we should be aware towards our nature. we should protect it. some people firmly believe that industrialization should be allowed even this increase emissions, however other consider that environment standard should be apply equally to all countries. I maintain that environment should be at first then economic.
On the first hand, industrialization is very beneficial such as, it can lead the rate of employment. If the industrialization will increase the labour work will also require so it will alleviate the unemployment. it will contribute in economics by which poverty will decrease. it will provide wide range of career opportunity, which will increase the living standard of a person. Additionally, It will help in developing infrastructure, Which have a great contribution in economical growth. Industrialization promotes tourists visit and trade globally.
In contrast, environment is substantially more important over than economics. Industries produce emissions on a large scale which will affect the environment, by the polluted environment the upcoming generation will also be affected. We should be prioritize nature rather than only economic growth. Economic growth is temporary but, if the environment will damage it will take too much time to recover. furthermore, it will cause many health related issues for instance, tv, cancer, and asthma. Bad environment affect the food quality as well as the life expectancy of human being as well animals also. Some countries are not damaging the nature but their neighbour countries pollute their country , so it will also affecting that country. so there should be a fixed standard of industrialization.
To conclude, industrialization plays a crucial role in developing country but we should be more aware towards environment because if the person will not healthy then what does economic growth means. so environment is first priority over than economic growth. I firmly believe that we should take action to prevent our nature and government should also make contribution in order to save environment by planting more trees and limit the industrialization.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 3.0
The student has failed to address the task prompt provided. The prompt asks about the increase in people continuing their education after school and the range of university courses. However, the student wrote an essay about industrialization and environmental emissions. Because the response is entirely off-topic, it does not address the requirements of the task. While the student presents a clear position on the topic they chose to write about, the failure to engage with the actual prompt results in a very low score for Task Achievement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. There is a clear attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'On the first hand', 'In contrast', and 'To conclude'. However, the progression of ideas is sometimes hindered by awkward phrasing and repetitive sentence structures. While the paragraphing is functional, the lack of relevance to the actual prompt makes the overall coherence difficult to assess in a positive light, though the internal structure of the essay itself is discernible.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally limited and repetitive. The student uses basic terms like 'good', 'bad', and 'important' frequently. There are also errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'aware towards our nature' instead of 'aware of our environment' and 'tv' (likely a typo for TB/tuberculosis). While the student attempts to use some topic-specific vocabulary related to the environment, the range is insufficient to demonstrate the flexibility required for higher bands. The vocabulary is adequate for basic communication but lacks the precision needed for academic writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('environment standard should be apply'), missing articles, and incorrect preposition usage. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with several run-on sentences and comma splices. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. The student needs to focus on sentence boundaries and verb forms.
