You should use your own ideas, knowledge and experience and support your arguments with examples and relevant experience.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
in this modern era, an increasing number of people are choosing to pursue higher education after completing school, while universities and colleges are offering a wider variety of courses. I believe that this trend has positive development across the world.
One of the major benefit of this development is that higher education can significantly improve peoples career prospects. University and college courses are allowing students to gain the practical skills that are often required by employers. As a result, graduates may have access to a wider range of professional jobs and can also have greater opportunities for career progression. For instance, a student who completes a computer science degree can also enhances skills in programming and software development. Therefore, the growing number of people pursuing further education can contribute to a more skilled and employable workforce.
Another important advantage is the greater variety of courses available at educational institutions. Students can now choose from a wide range of subjects instead of being limited to a small number of traditional fields. In addition, studying a subject that genuinely interests them can increase their motivation and encourage them to develop their skills further. For instance, a student interested in technology may choose artificial intelligence or data science rather than studying a more general subject.
In conclusion, I consider the increasing of new courses at universities and colleges is beneficial for students who continue study after secondary education because this will help them to achieve new things in their life as I have mentioned my perspectives in the paragraphs.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, clearly stating that the trend is a positive development. The ideas are relevant, focusing on career prospects and the diversity of academic subjects. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat superficial. For example, the point about computer science is a good start, but it could be extended by discussing the broader economic impact or the societal benefits of a more educated population. The conclusion is a bit repetitive and lacks a strong summary statement, which prevents it from reaching a higher band. Overall, the position is clear and maintained throughout the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Each paragraph has a central theme. Cohesive devices such as 'One of the major benefit', 'As a result', and 'In addition' are used to link ideas. However, the use of these devices is occasionally mechanical. Furthermore, the referencing in the conclusion ('as I have mentioned my perspectives in the paragraphs') is unnecessary and slightly awkward, which detracts from the flow. Paragraphing is used appropriately, and the progression of ideas is generally easy to follow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task. You use some topic-specific terms like 'career prospects', 'professional jobs', and 'educational institutions'. However, there are some minor errors in word choice and form, such as 'major benefit' (should be plural 'benefits') and 'increasing of new courses' (should be 'increase in'). The range is sufficient to convey your meaning clearly, but there is a lack of more sophisticated or 'less common' lexical items that would be required for a higher band score. Improving your control over collocations would be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While many sentences are clear, there are several grammatical slips. For instance, 'can also enhances skills' contains a subject-verb agreement error (should be 'enhance'). There is also a minor error in 'continue study' (should be 'continue to study' or 'continue their studies'). Punctuation is generally accurate, and the errors present do not impede communication. To reach a higher band, you should aim for more consistent accuracy in complex structures and ensure that subject-verb agreement is handled correctly throughout the text.
