Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses all parts of the prompt, clearly stating that the increase in higher education and course variety is a positive development. The ideas are relevant, focusing on technological advancement and job market demands. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, while you mention AI and the need for skilled professionals, the connection between the 'range of courses' and 'innovation' could be more deeply explored with more specific examples. The position is clear throughout, but the supporting arguments would benefit from more detailed elaboration to reach a higher band.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. There is a progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as the repetitive use of 'Therefore' and 'Hence' at the start of sentences. Referencing is occasionally unclear, for example, in the phrase 'as mentioned with new advancements', which lacks a clear antecedent. While the paragraphing is appropriate, the flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and better referencing to create a smoother, more natural progression.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You attempt some topic-specific vocabulary like 'technological advances', 'modernization', and 'innovations'. However, there are frequent spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'colloges', 'adavances', 'emplyees', 'phenmenon', 'opertaning', 'laydown', 'understaning', 'buliding', 'knowldge', 'specefic', 'oppertunities', and 'brodening'. These errors are noticeable and detract from the overall quality of the writing. To improve, you should focus on proofreading your work to correct these basic spelling mistakes, as they limit your ability to demonstrate a wider, more precise range of vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('the figure... rise', 'technology... required'), missing articles ('in almost every field'), and awkward phrasing ('the rise in number of students... as well as the brodening the range... also both are postive'). While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors suggests a lack of control over complex structures. To improve, focus on basic sentence construction, ensuring that subjects and verbs agree and that articles are used correctly before nouns.
