Student answer (Band 5.0)
Education after the school and availability of different courses at universities and colleges has been improved more over past few years. I think is a good sign for the students who want to pursue degree in their interested subject. Let's discuss about positive aspect of it.
In recent years, people are showing more interest in the education especially after schooling. Many countries are providing different courses at universities and college at low cost sometimes at free of cost also. In addition to it they also giving online classes to students to make use of it in their flexible time after their part-time job.
Parents are also encouraging their childrens to persue their favourate course because of availability of many option in all colleges which are in their native places. So that their children can stay at home and study no need to move other stateor country for higher education. For instance, my cousin who want to persue his degree in AI but because of unavailabilty of the course in his place he didnot do his degree and started doing job. Un expected after 4 yaers government has introduced this course in university in his hometown so he opted that course and doing it now good .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you identify the trend as a positive development, the arguments remain superficial. The example provided about your cousin is personal and anecdotal, which is acceptable, but it lacks the depth required for a high-scoring academic essay. The essay is underdeveloped, and the conclusion is entirely missing, meaning the position is not fully sustained throughout the response. To improve, you must expand your arguments with more detailed explanations and ensure you provide a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a concluding summary.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the progression of ideas is somewhat disjointed. While you use some cohesive devices like 'In addition to it' and 'For instance', the flow between sentences is often mechanical. The lack of a clear conclusion makes the overall structure feel incomplete. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the final sentence where the phrasing 'doing it now good' is awkward and disrupts the logical flow of the narrative. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would enhance coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary range is limited and repetitive. You rely on basic terms like 'good sign', 'different courses', and 'doing job'. There are several word-choice errors and spelling mistakes, such as 'persue' (pursue), 'favourate' (favourite), 'unavailabilty' (unavailability), and 'stateor' (state or). These errors, combined with the limited range of vocabulary, prevent the essay from achieving a higher score. To improve, focus on learning collocations and academic synonyms for common words. For example, instead of 'good sign', use 'positive development' or 'beneficial trend'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Examples include 'Education after the school... has been improved' (passive voice misuse), 'they also giving' (missing auxiliary verb), and 'no need to move other stateor country' (missing prepositions and articles). The sentence structures are mostly simple, with limited attempts at complex sentences. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing and comma usage. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement, the correct use of articles, and ensuring that complex sentences are constructed accurately with appropriate conjunctions.
