In many countries these days, the number of people continuing their education after school has increased, and the range of courses available at universities and colleges has also increased.

You should use your own ideas, knowledge and experience and support your arguments with examples and relevant experience.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

Recently, in several countries the number of students started to study again because of the number of education institution has increased therefore the number of courses also increased in many universities and colleges. I think it's a very much positive development.

From my perspective, every individual has right to study because it is a basic human right. But sometimes several numbers of students can't continue their study for low amounts of educational institutions and number of courses in their desire university.

For example, some students want to study Pharmacy nearest university from them but they can not admitted there because of course unviability. I believe if they added extra and more subjects many students will show their interests in study.

Same goes for School too. Because of increasing school many parents gets a chance to admit their children in school.

I strongly believe that Education nation can make a whole country successful. If everyone gives a chance to students for doing their study they'll contribute in future for their own country.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 171 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you clearly state your position that the trend is positive, the arguments are underdeveloped and lack sufficient depth or specific examples. The points regarding human rights and the contribution of educated citizens are relevant but are presented in a very simplistic manner. To improve, you must expand your arguments with more detailed explanations and concrete examples to fully address the prompt's requirements.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into short paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. There is a lack of cohesive devices to link ideas effectively; for instance, the transition between the introduction and the body paragraphs is abrupt. Some sentences, such as 'Same goes for School too', are fragmented and lack proper connection to the preceding argument. The use of referencing is also unclear at times. To achieve a higher band, you should use a wider range of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in addition') to create a smoother flow between your ideas.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. You frequently use basic terms like 'number of', 'study', and 'increase'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'course unviability' instead of 'lack of course availability' and 'admit their children in school' instead of 'enroll their children in school'. The range is insufficient to express complex ideas precisely. To improve, focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to education and higher learning, and practice using synonyms to avoid repetition.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede communication. Examples include 'the number of education institution has increased' (should be 'educational institutions have increased') and 'every individual has right' (missing article 'a'). The sentence structures are mostly simple, and there are errors in subject-verb agreement and pluralization. While you attempt some complex sentences, they are often faulty. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of articles before attempting more complex structures.
