Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt directly by taking a clear and well-supported position that the increase in higher education and available courses is a positive development. The writer introduces relevant ideas regarding personal growth, professional skill acquisition, and how a wider selection of courses meets specific market demands. While the reasoning is logical and supported with a personal example about overcoming public speaking difficulties, some of the ideas are slightly repetitive and under-developed, particularly in the final paragraph. The conclusion is incomplete, abruptly cutting off mid-sentence with a famous idiom. Consequently, the task is addressed adequately, but the lack of full development across all arguments prevents a higher score.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay displays a generally coherent overall arrangement with a clear stance stated in the introduction. Paragraphing is attempted, though the division between paragraphs could be managed more effectively, and the essay lacks a proper concluding paragraph. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To commence with' and 'For Example,' but some referencing and linking are mechanical or faulty. For instance, transitional phrases between sentences occasionally feel abrupt, and punctuation errors around conjunctions disrupt the natural flow of ideas. While the reader can follow the main train of thought without severe difficulty, the organizational progression suffers from the unfinished ending and minor structural weaknesses.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The student demonstrates an adequate vocabulary range for the task, attempting some less common lexical items such as 'professional', 'domain', and 'exceling'. However, there are frequent spelling and word-choice errors throughout the text, including 'countinuing', 'universties', 'cources', 'persue', 'feild', 'decate', 'preople', 'diffcuilty', 'studing', 'knolowdge', 'subgect', and 'nead'. While these numerous spelling inaccuracies do not completely impede communication, they are distracting and demonstrate limited control over word formation and orthography. The misuse of phrases like 'jack of all traits' instead of 'jack of all trades' further limits the lexical score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing relative clauses and introductory subordinate clauses. However, grammatical accuracy is weak, with frequent errors including comma splices, run-on sentences, and incorrect verb forms. For example, the sentence 'In past few decate the thinking of people change regarding education...' contains multiple tense and article errors. Subject-verb agreement issues also appear, such as 'these all expierence build'. Punctuation is frequently misused, especially with commas separating independent clauses improperly. These persistent errors cause some difficulty for the reader and prevent the response from achieving a higher band descriptor.
