Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.5

The response clearly states a position that the trend is a positive development and attempts to give reasons, such as improved access to specific fields of education and specialized knowledge. However, the task is severely penalized because the response is only 154 words long, falling well short of the 250-word minimum requirement. Furthermore, the ideas are cut off abruptly mid-sentence at the end of the text, leaving arguments incomplete and under-developed. Because the word count requirement is not met, the task cannot be fully addressed, resulting in a low score for Task Achievement.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay displays some logical organization in its opening paragraph by introducing the topic and stating the writer's perspective. However, cohesion is heavily disrupted by the very brief and incomplete nature of the response, which ends abruptly after just two short paragraphs. Referencing and cohesive links are sometimes repetitive or awkward, such as 'availability of range of courses it is directly connected with the rising in number'. Paragraphing is also insufficient because the text cuts off prematurely before fully forming a conclusion or proper body structure. Overall, the organizational structure is too fragmented.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The student attempts to use some less common academic vocabulary, such as 'decentralizing', 'convinient', and 'distinguish features'. However, there are notable spelling errors ('aquiring', 'prespective', 'convinient', 'differenciating') and word-choice inaccuracies ('availability of range of courses it is directly connected', 'mosaic of similar information'). The vocabulary range is adequate for basic communication but contains noticeable errors that occasionally hinder clarity, such as the awkward phrasing around academic specializations. As a result, lexical control sits comfortably within the band 5 range.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but many sentences suffer from grammatical awkwardness and run-on construction. For instance, the second sentence of the first paragraph is an extremely long, unpunctuated run-on clause ('...availability of range of courses it is directly connected with the rising in number of people continuing their study this is mainly due to increase in access...'). There are frequent errors in verb forms, articles, and prepositions. While some simpler sentences are accurate, the frequent structural errors and the incomplete ending limit the grammatical range and accuracy score.
