Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowdays, the count of people continuing their studies after school has inclined in many countries around the world and the courses at universities and colleges has also widen in selection. Although it is a negative developement, but also provides benifit to students. This essay will discuss the positive and negative points of varity of courses.
First and formost, variety in courses can confuse students, while continuing their last subject and its selection. Universities has changed the name of many courses, but books and scopes are still same. Secondly, ratio for money wastage is rised and families suffer week financial conditions for their children's education. It can be explained as some courses have less scope and more tution fees. For example, Bachelors of Business Analatics and Bachelors of Business Administration are same courses taht some time couse conflic in learner's mind and he can suffer stress.
Despite of the negative developement, pluss points of this developement can outweigh its negativity. First of all, students can learn their favourite subjects after being anaware from these in last degree. Moreover, some new courses also include working as a volunteer and part time work for assesments, these activities secretly develop confidense and work experience to students. It can benifit them in their future life. For instance, in Malaysia, some universities give students some activities including 24 hours weely work and it benifits individuals after completing their education.
In conclusion, wide variety of cources make a student fell of stress, anxiety and confusion, but also made learners very confident and mature in their teen age. I would recommend that private educational departments should not introduce new courses, but they should raise activities in every courses.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both the positive and negative aspects of the increasing availability of university and college courses, maintaining a clear position throughout. The writer's ideas are supported with examples, such as the mention of Malaysian universities offering practical work experience. However, some ideas are slightly under-developed or vague, such as the claim that course names have changed while content remains identical. The arguments regarding financial stress and student anxiety are relevant and well-directed towards the prompt, earning a solid Band 6.0 for this criterion.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt at paragraphing, separating the introduction, two body paragraphs discussing negative and positive points, and a conclusion. Transitional markers such as 'First and formost', 'Secondly', and 'Despite of the negative developement' are used to sequence ideas, although some cohesive devices are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'It can be explained as'. Referencing is generally clear, but occasional abrupt transitions between sentences slightly disrupt the logical flow, placing the response firmly at Band 6.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, with attempts at less common items such as 'conflic', 'in_awareness', and 'financial conditions'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word choice errors throughout the text, including 'Nowdays' instead of nowadays, 'inclined' instead of increased, 'widen' instead of widened, 'benifit', 'varity', and 'cources'. These errors occasionally cause slight confusion for the reader, but communication is not severely impeded, fitting the Band 5.0 descriptor well.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as concessive clauses ('Although it is a negative developement, but also provides benifit...') and relative clauses. However, there is a high frequency of grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('the courses at universities and colleges has also widen'), incorrect prepositions ('after being anaware from these'), and redundant conjunctions ('Although... but...'). These errors are frequent and cause some difficulty for the reader, warranting a Band 5.0.
