Student answer (Band 5.0)

Nowadays the education is a basic need of people. The number of schools, colleges and universities is increasing in many countries every day. A lot of courses is available now. I think it is a positive development for the world.

Firstly, the education is very helpful for future. We cannot get any gob without this. If we want to learn any skill schooling is a key to learn things. We cannot anderstand that how big machines are working also to discover earth and sky you have to learn about geoghraphy and different ideas of some teachers in universities which proves that they are very helpful in our life. We learn many skills from different courses which is very helpful for us. Like ILETS course is a bisic need for study abroad. Without education humans are same yo animals. For example, to run a car you need driving skill and you must know what is writed in signs where to go and where to stop.

Secondly, in medical field big companies want educated people. In any way of life like to earn money. some peoples belive that they are wasting money on making these colleges we have to live in villeges and we don't need any education. Education is gold. For example, in South africa most of the population was uneducated but after increasing number of schools and colleges most of the poples are know at on high level posts and know they are making a lot of money.

In conclusion, the education is a keey of sucess and everyone should learn and sport to build this type of centers.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position that the increase in post-school education is a positive development. However, the treatment of the task is limited and under-developed. While the writer attempts to provide supporting ideas, such as the necessity of education for future employment and the benefits of medical and general skill acquisition, these points lack sufficient extension and relevant examples. For instance, the reference to South Africa is very basic and general, and the mention of the IELTS course or driving skills remains superficial without deep elaboration. The ideas tend to be repetitive and rely on broad generalisations, such as stating 'Without education humans are same yo animals,' which keeps the content at a partial level of task fulfilment.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some organisation within the essay, with basic attempts to introduce paragraphs using markers like 'Firstly,' 'Secondly,' and 'In conclusion.' However, there is no clear overall progression, and the logical links between sentences are often mechanical or inadequate. For example, the transition from discussing geography and teachers to taking an IELTS test feels disjointed. Additionally, referencing is sometimes unclear, and cohesive devices are overused or misused, such as repetitive sentence openings ('We cannot...' or 'For example,...'). Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal flow within paragraphs lacks smooth transitions, making the overall structure feel slightly disjointed and lacking sophisticated cohesive control.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is limited and barely adequate for the task, with noticeable errors in word choice, spelling, and word formation that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. Throughout the text, there are multiple lexical inaccuracies, such as 'gob' instead of 'job', 'anderstand' instead of 'understand', 'geoghraphy', 'bisic', 'poples', 'know' instead of 'now', 'keey', 'sucess', and 'sport' instead of 'support'. The range of vocabulary is basic and repetitive, relying heavily on common words like 'education', 'courses', 'helpful', and 'money'. There is little evidence of less common lexical items used with precision or stylistic awareness, restricting the vocabulary score to a lower level.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The writing displays a very limited range of structures, relying mostly on simple sentences alongside frequent faulty attempts at complex or compound forms. There are frequent grammatical errors in article usage ('the education', 'in medical field'), subject-verb agreement ('A lot of courses is', 'skills from different courses which is'), prepositions ('learn in things'), and word forms within grammatical patterns. Punctuation is also basic, and spelling issues frequently spill into structural readability. While simple sentences are sometimes accurate, the high frequency of errors across basic grammatical categories means that grammar control remains restricted, often causing difficulty for the reader.
