You should use your own ideas, knowledge and experience and support your arguments with examples and relevant experience.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
Over the decades, in most of the countries the total number of individuals are continuing their education after high school has rise up and the variety of courses that being taught in universities and collages had also been seen a growth. I think this is a positive development in many countries.
On one hand the students are encouraged to learn new skills, to study undergraduate and post graduate degrees. By doing so they take part in the development of the country. For instance, Afghanistan is a merely develop country and still going through the post war effects, their students studying professional degrees to help their country to get out from the war state which is indeed a positive development of a country whose literacy rate was less than 1% before.
On the other hand some businessman taken this opportunity as a study business, they keep offering new courses with no future nor career aspects for students. For example, Nowadays AI is the new subject that every students wants to study and universities are offering vague degrees like business in AI and management in AI. By graduating with these subjects students are unable to find the suitable jobs for them and therefore ending up studing masters or even PHD.
To conclude, In my point of view education is evolving and people are getting higher education but having a degree with no skills is just a piece of paper. Combining both skills and degree will give an individual a brighter chance to flourish in this competitive world.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both the positive and negative aspects of increasing higher education opportunities, and you present a clear position throughout. However, some ideas are more fully developed than others. For instance, your discussion on students taking part in national development, illustrated by the example of Afghanistan, is relatively well-articulated. On the other hand, the counterargument regarding business-driven courses is somewhat under-developed and relies on broad generalisations about subjects like artificial intelligence degrees, leaving the argument slightly unclear in places. To reach a higher level, you need to extend and support all your main ideas with more precise explanations and fully elaborated examples rather than leaving some points feeling rushed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
Your essay has a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction and conclusion, and the paragraphs are separated reasonably well. However, the cohesion between sentences is sometimes mechanical or faulty. You rely heavily on basic transition phrases like 'On one hand' and 'On the other hand', but the internal links between sentences lack smooth progression. For example, referencing can occasionally be unclear, such as the transition into the example about Afghanistan or how the final conclusion ties back directly to the body paragraphs. To improve, you should use a wider variety of cohesive devices more flexibly and ensure that referencing and logical links between sentences guide the reader seamlessly from one idea to the next.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common lexical items such as 'undergraduate', 'post graduate degrees', and 'competitive world'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word-choice errors throughout the text, such as writing 'collages' instead of 'colleges', 'rise up' instead of 'risen', and 'studing' instead of 'studying'. Phrases like 'study business' and 'career aspects' also show some awkwardness in collocation. These errors do not seriously impede communication, but they restrict your score. To achieve a higher band, you need to expand your lexical range further and demonstrate greater precision and accuracy in word choice, word formation, and spelling.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
Your writing displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting structures such as subordinate clauses and participial phrases. However, there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that occur across many sentences. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues like 'the total number of individuals are continuing' and 'businessman taken', as well as missing articles and incorrect verb tenses such as 'courses that being taught' and 'students studying professional degrees'. While these errors rarely completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent the writing from achieving a higher level. To improve, you should focus on sharpening your control over basic sentence structures, tense consistency, and grammatical agreements.
