Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

The response addresses the task only partially, presenting a position that the trend is a positive development, but the ideas remain very limited and under-developed. While the student attempts to mention the economy and personal opportunities, these points are stated rather than extended with solid reasoning or concrete examples. Furthermore, the response falls significantly short of the required word count, containing only 184 words instead of the minimum 250, which strictly limits the overall development of the task.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some basic organisation attempted through introductory and concluding phrases, such as 'To commerence with' and 'In conclusion', but the response lacks an overall clear progression. Paragraphing is introduced, yet the body paragraphs are disjointed. Cohesive devices are often inadequate or inaccurate, as seen with repetitive phrasing and mechanical transitions like 'In other words' and 'Therefore' which do not accurately link the underlying logical relationships between ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is limited and barely adequate for the task, with noticeable errors that cause some difficulty for the reader. There are frequent lexical and spelling errors throughout the response, such as 'eduacation', 'institiute', 'commerence', and 'oppertunities'. Word choices are often imprecise or uncollocational, such as 'generate a lot individuals in fields' and 'devote a better life', which restrict the precision of the argument.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The writer employs a limited range of sentence structures, and attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty. There are persistent grammatical errors throughout the text, including tense usage, article omissions, and subject-verb agreement issues, such as 'education will increased', 'the significant amount of people', and 'people have a more choices than who people lack of information'. These frequent errors create noticeable difficulty and strain for the reader.
