Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You state a clear positive view, saying that further education improves knowledge and future job opportunities, and you begin to support this with the example of English-speaking courses. However, the response addresses the question only minimally: the second point is unfinished at “On the other hand, it create main problem for,” so no negative consequence or balanced discussion is explained. The benefits are also asserted rather than developed with specific, convincing detail. The response is 147 words, below the required 250, which leaves the argument substantially incomplete. To strengthen your response, explain your main reasons fully, give a relevant example for each, and finish with a conclusion that clearly restates your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is an identifiable opening and a first supporting paragraph, and phrases such as “For example” and “On the other hand” show an attempt to guide the reader. However, the ideas do not form a coherent, complete progression: the final paragraph stops mid-sentence, and the promised discussion of both points is not delivered. Some connections are difficult to follow, particularly the long sentence beginning “For example, many children choose various courses…” where several reasons are joined together without clear organisation. Paragraphing is attempted, but the response needs a complete conclusion and clearer sequencing within paragraphs. Use one main idea per paragraph, explain it in a logical order, and ensure linking phrases accurately reflect the relationship between ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “courses,” “institutions,” “knowledge,” and “job opportunities,” and the example of English courses shows an attempt to be specific. However, the range is limited and several spelling errors make the writing harder to read, including “Nowdays,” “numours,” “varities,” “courese,” and “opportuinties.” Some word choices and combinations are also inaccurate, such as “the value of people education” and “school main subject.” These issues sometimes strain communication, even though the general topic remains understandable. Build a more accurate set of education-related phrases and check spelling carefully. For example, use “the number of people pursuing further education” rather than “the value of people education.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a reason clause with “because” and a relative clause beginning “which.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction frequently affect clarity. Examples include “the number … has increase,” “it help children,” and “I will discussed”; these should use correctly formed verbs. The sentence beginning “The first and formost reason” is also structurally unclear, while “many student choose” has a number-agreement problem. Punctuation and spacing around commas are inconsistent. Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and checking each sentence for a clear subject and complete verb before adding subordinate clauses.
