Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear overall view in the conclusion, stating that continuing education is positive, and you address both benefits and drawbacks. The examples of gaining qualifications, improving job prospects, and facing financial pressure are relevant. However, the response only partly fulfils the task: it discusses further education generally but says little about the increased range of courses, and several points are asserted rather than explained. For example, “They can start their own business through studies” would be stronger with an explanation or a specific example. The response is also 14 words below the required minimum. Develop the main ideas more fully and connect them directly to the growth in both participation and course choice.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph on advantages, one on disadvantages, and a concluding position. This makes the main direction easy to follow. Basic signposting such as “There are many advantages” and “There are some negative impacts” helps organise the discussion, and the conclusion returns to your view. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes list-like, with several benefits placed one after another without clear links or explanation. The introduction also promises to discuss both sides, but the final position could be established more clearly there. Use linking and referencing more naturally, and group related points—for example, qualifications and employment prospects—into a developed chain of reasoning.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “pursuing studies,” “certificates,” “job opportunities,” and “borrow the money,” so the reader can understand the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “increase their qualities,” “higher pay scale,” “do work at anywhere,” and “grab everthings during trainings.” Spelling errors, including “thier,” “imopact,” and “oppotunities,” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise, natural phrases and check spelling carefully. For instance, explain that further study can develop “knowledge and skills” and improve “employment prospects,” rather than relying on vague expressions such as “do anythings.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “Children lose their confidence who cannot afford further studies” and a reason clause beginning “because.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to affect clarity. In the relative clause, the wording and placement make it unclear who loses confidence; write, for example, “Children who cannot afford further study may lose confidence.” There are also problems with agreement and sentence construction in “It enhance their intelligence,” and the opening sentence needs clearer structure and punctuation. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, and clause formation, then proofread each sentence for a complete, clear grammatical pattern.
