Student answer (Band 5.0)

This is a topic of ongoing debate these days that currently the number of people has increased who complete their school education and now pursuing further studies and colleges has also increased the varities of courses. In this essay I will discuss the both views before presenting my own opinion.

First and foremost, these days people are more willing to continuing their education. There are several factors of this perspective, these days the demends of expertise is increasing day by day and there new fields in the market which growing and they demand highly expert people. Therefore, students are now pursuing further education for getting better job. Furthermore, the universities and colleges have also increased the number of course. It is essential because currently the demand of varities of new courses increase. In market there are several new courses indroduces such as AI learing and digital adverstising. Therefore the univeristies offer these new courses and students can survive in jobs market.

On the other hand, many people argue that these new range of courses are not siginficant. Students should only learn the those courses which are realy matter and which help to doing daily tasks. Moreover, these wide range of course increased the overall eductaion expense. The univeristies and colleges will have huge buden to organise and manage wide range of course.

In conclusion, both aspect have positive and negative arguments. However, in my opinion it is the positive development. these days these news courses are very importand

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address the question by presenting reasons for increased further study and course choice, then acknowledging concerns about relevance and cost before stating that you consider the development positive. However, the position is not fully developed: the conclusion says the courses are important but does not explain why their benefits outweigh the expense or the concern that some courses may be less useful. Examples such as AI learning and digital advertising are relevant, but their value is asserted rather than illustrated with a specific outcome. The opening also refers to “both views,” although the task asks for your evaluation of a development. The response is 248 words, so it falls two words short of the required minimum. Develop the comparison and support your final judgement more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting contrasting points, and a conclusion. Paragraphing helps the reader distinguish the arguments, and signposts such as “First and foremost,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” make the broad direction clear. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow, particularly in the opening, where several ideas are joined into one long sentence. Linking words such as “Therefore” are repeated, and some connections are unclear—for example, the relationship between the demand for new courses and the claim that students can “survive” in the job market needs explanation. The conclusion is very brief and does not bring the main arguments together. Use clearer sentence boundaries and more varied, precise links between claims and examples.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to education and employment, including “further education,” “expertise,” “digital advertising,” and “education expense,” so the topic is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make the writing less clear or natural. Examples include “the demends of expertise,” “varities of courses,” “new courses indroduces,” and “huge buden.” Phrases such as “survive in jobs market” and “courses which are realy matter” also do not express the ideas naturally. Aim to learn common academic collocations and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you explain the benefits and drawbacks without relying on repeated general terms such as “these days,” “increased,” and “new courses.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some longer sentences and use basic complex structures, including “because” and “which,” as well as contrast between paragraphs. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make several sentences difficult to process. For example, “people are more willing to continuing their education” has an incorrect verb form, while “there new fields in the market which growing” lacks necessary grammatical elements. There are also problems with articles, agreement, plurals, and sentence boundaries, as in “the number of course” and the run-on opening sentence. These are grammar and punctuation issues rather than vocabulary choices. Build accuracy first with clear subject–verb patterns and complete clauses, then add complex sentences and check each one for agreement and verb form.
