Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this contemporay world, education is pivotal. People are keen to have higher education. Higher education providers also bringing more study options for students to choose from. In my opinion, education plays major role in today's world. However, wide range of study options can create confusion in students.
Higher education can provide numerous opportunities especially in terms of employment. Employers are keen to hire candidate with higher qualification. It will provide them chances to work at high pay scale. Additionally, higher education does not only provide job opportunities but also broaden the students perspectives. Students can choose to pursue certain career which require the higher education. However, increase number of students having higher education might lead to shortage of skilled workers in the future.
On the contrast, Universities and colleges offering a range of courses provide students with many options to choose from. It encourages the students to explore different options and then choose what suits them the best. Moreover, it provides them financial freedom. For instance, the students can choose courses according to their financial capacity. On the other hand, numerous courses can create confusion in the students and that can lead to lack of interest or passion. Not all the students might have strong decision making skill. Such students might face difficulty in choosing the right course for them and can find this a stressful situation.
To conclude, study higher education would be benficial for the students. Wide range of course might considered a good option with consultation available for the students to guide them in choosing the right course.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both developments and give a broadly positive view of higher education, while recognising that a wide course choice can be confusing. Relevant points include improved employment prospects and the difficulty some students may have selecting a course. However, the position is not fully consistent: the introduction says education is valuable but does not clearly state whether the overall development is positive or negative, and the conclusion calls higher education beneficial while only cautiously endorsing course variety. Some ideas also need fuller explanation. For example, the claim that more graduates could cause a shortage of skilled workers is not explained, and the financial-freedom point is supported only by saying students can choose courses within their capacity. State your overall judgement clearly and develop each main reason with a specific explanation or example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, separate body paragraphs and a conclusion. The paragraphs generally group related ideas: employment benefits are discussed together, followed by the advantages and drawbacks of course choice. You also use linking expressions such as “Additionally,” “Moreover” and “On the other hand.” At times, however, the progression feels mechanical or the relationship between points is unclear. “On the contrast” introduces a new topic rather than a direct contrast, and the shift from employment benefits to a possible shortage of skilled workers is abrupt. Some references, such as “it” in the course-choice paragraph, could be clearer. Use transitions that express the precise relationship between ideas and connect each supporting point explicitly to your main position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of vocabulary for the topic, including “employment,” “higher qualification,” “financial capacity” and “decision making skill.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, and the meaning is generally understandable. However, several word-choice, collocation and spelling problems reduce precision: “high pay scale” is not a natural phrase in this context, “shortage of skilled workers” does not clearly follow from the point about graduates, and “contemporay” and “benficial” are misspelled. There is also repetition of “students,” “higher education” and “options.” Aim for more natural academic collocations and vary repeated terms, while checking spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would make your arguments sound clearer and more assured.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including the contrast in “However, wide range of study options can create confusion” and the relative clause “career which require the higher education.” Most sentences remain understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “providers also bringing” needs a finite verb, “education plays major role” is missing an article, and “increase number of students” needs a grammatical determiner and form. There are also agreement and verb-form problems in “career which require” and “course might considered.” These errors do not usually prevent the reader from following your meaning, but they limit accuracy. Practise articles, subject–verb agreement and complete verb phrases, then proofread each sentence for a clear subject and correctly formed verb.
