Student answer (Band 5.5)
In majority of the countries these days, numerous numbe rof people continuing their education after school has increased, and the range of courses available at universities and colleges has also increased.
In my opinion, this notion has both positive and negative impact on the society. Children seeking education can be helpful in the economic development of the country in the long-term. Wheras, it can put a negative affect on the government who will be pressurized to create job opportunities for its citizens.
On the one hand, this idea have a broader impact of the positively of a nation while producing responsible, well-aware and educated youth for the development of its country by contributing towards the society. For example, casting vote to the deserving candidate and seel employment which can later increase the number of people in the taxation system. Additionally, it can prevent poverty in the nation. The variety of courses can support the young people to choose their desired field and explore further which will be beneficial for them and the other's who would want to learn from the experience of their peers. For instance, my friend chose the area of her interest which turned out to be th ebest decision for her live. She had mantained her living standard and is exploring further chances of success.
On the other hand, this notion can negatively impact the government in terms of providing vocational training and to create more job opportunities. The choice in categories of courses can confuse children and they can end up choosing that would not achieve their targeted gaols and can lead to compromising on their standard of living. Furthermore, they can opt for a subject which would not provide any jobs in the specific field can make hurdles for the students in the future. For example, I know someone from my community who chose his favourite subject and after graduation she was jobless as it provided fewer opportunities in our hometown so later she had to travel to build her career in the specified area where the opportunities were plentiful.
In the concluding statement, it is concluded that this notion has both negative and positive sides keeping in mind, the demand of students at different stage of life from choosing until building career in the same field.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the development and give a clear overall view that it has positive and negative effects. The discussion of education supporting economic development, civic participation and personal choice is relevant, and the examples about your friend and a community member help illustrate the points. However, the position is not fully resolved: the conclusion repeats that there are two sides without saying whether you consider the development positive or negative overall. Some ideas also need fuller explanation, particularly how increased education would pressure governments to create jobs and how course choice affects employment. The response meets the task’s length requirement; 21 words copied from the prompt were excluded from the count. State your overall judgement clearly and develop the main cause-and-effect links.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting opposing views, and a conclusion. The signposts “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” make the contrast easy to follow, and examples are generally placed with the relevant point. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to track. In the first body paragraph, voting, taxation, poverty and course choice are introduced in quick succession, with limited links explaining how they connect. Some references are unclear, such as “the other's” and “it” in the example about your friend. The conclusion also repeats the two-sided position rather than drawing the discussion together. Group related points more tightly and use clearer references and transitions between claims.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “economic development,” “taxation system,” “vocational training” and “standard of living.” These choices show an effort to discuss education, employment and society beyond basic terms. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning harder to follow. Examples include “negative affect” where “negative effect” is intended, “seel employment,” “mantained,” and “targeted gaols.” Phrases such as “broader impact of the positively” and “the demand of students at different stage of life” are also unnatural or unclear. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common word partnerships, especially for describing consequences, career prospects and government responsibilities.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple statements and attempts at more complex structures, including clauses beginning with “while,” “which” and “who.” This gives the response some variety, and the main argument can usually be understood. However, complex sentences are often not controlled successfully, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence construction recur. For example, “this idea have” should use a singular verb, while “the variety of courses can support the young people to choose” has an awkward grammatical pattern. The sentence beginning “Furthermore, they can opt for a subject…” does not form a complete, clear structure before “can make hurdles.” Review subject–verb agreement and practise building complete sentences with subordinate clauses; punctuate sentence boundaries carefully.
