Student answer (Band 5.5)

The increasing prevalance that the range of individuals continuing their education after school has become a definite feature of contemporary society. Although, this trend may give rise to a certain concern. I strongly believe that it constitutes a pre-dominantely positive development owing to its far reaching imapct on gaining the advanced knowledge also, it can be very beneficial for achieving a high rank of opportunities in this modern era.

The strongest arguement in favour of viewing this trend as positive is that it is the best way to enhance the knowledge among students after the education of school. This is primarily because the student's mind at the age of school is not well polished because they just learn a basic source of study rather than encourage themselves to learn in an advanced way.A Pertinent example can be found that there is a big difference between the students of primary level as compared to the secondary level. If students continue their study after school it will give them a great benefit to enhance their concepts and ideas at higher level. So, if the people continue their education after school it llustrates a broader significance of the positive development.

Another compelling consderation is that the range of courses at the higher level of studies also give a good imapct towards the students. In particular it will give a better opportunities among students to achieve a high rank of job related to their fields. Because due to the study of various courses realed to their field develop a high souce of ideas and can improve the learning skills towards the students. For Instance, the people that have a variety of knowledge have a high demand towards the well settled comapnies. Nowadays, the companies hire those people that have a good ideas and experience so, they can get benefit for them at International level. In this way, there is a positive development that the range of courses can ehance the ideas and concepts so it should be increased by education administartion.thereby renforcing the view that this trend is a positive. Although, there mey be some countervalling effects, there are relatively insignificant when compared wth its broader implication.

In Conclusion, I am firmly of the opinion that the range of people increasing their attitude towards continue their education after school and also the variety of courses at University and college level increase represents a prdominantely positive development. It influences on gaining advance knowlwdge and high rank of oppotunities provides compelling grounds for reaching this conclusion.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You take a clear overall position, stating that the trend is “predominantly positive,” and you address both continued study and the wider range of courses. The two body paragraphs offer relevant reasons: further study can deepen knowledge, while course choice may improve employment prospects. However, these points remain broad and are not fully explained. The comparison between primary- and secondary-level students does not clearly demonstrate the benefits of education after school, and the company example is general rather than specific. The brief concession about “countervailing effects” is not developed, so the discussion is one-sided despite the task inviting an evaluation. Develop each main reason with a clearer explanation and a concrete, relevant example to make the response more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. The paragraphs generally group related points, and signposts such as “The strongest argument,” “Another compelling consideration,” and “In Conclusion” help readers follow the intended direction. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to track because several ideas are joined in long, crowded sentences, and some links are mechanical or unclear. For example, the second body paragraph moves from course choice to job demand, company hiring, and a brief concession without clearly showing how each point develops the previous one. The conclusion also repeats the introduction rather than synthesising the reasons. Use shorter, more clearly sequenced sentences and make each paragraph follow one reason, explanation, and example.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “advanced knowledge,” “job-related,” “variety of knowledge,” and “broader significance.” This shows an effort to express ideas beyond basic language. However, word choice and collocation are frequently inaccurate or unnatural, which sometimes makes the meaning harder to follow. Phrases such as “a high rank of opportunities,” “enhance the knowledge among students,” and “a good impact towards the students” do not express the intended ideas naturally. Spelling errors are also noticeable, including “prevalance,” “arguement,” “consderation,” and “comapnies.” Aim for accurate, familiar collocations before reaching for more elaborate wording, and proofread spelling carefully. More precise phrases such as “improve employment prospects” would make your argument clearer.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “Although,” “because,” and “if.” This gives you a basis for expressing reasons and conditions. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in sentence boundaries, agreement, articles, and verb forms occur frequently enough to make some passages difficult to read. For example, “Although, this trend may give rise to a certain concern” is an incomplete clause, while “the range of courses … give” has a subject–verb agreement problem. The sentence beginning “Because due to the study…” is also incomplete and awkwardly connected to the preceding idea. Practise building complete sentences with one clear main clause, then check agreement and punctuation. This will help your ideas come through without the reader having to reconstruct them.
