Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays in many countries, the amount of students pursuing higher education after school has been increased and variety of different courses at universities and colleges has also increased. In my opinion, it is an positive development because different kinds of courses create maximum opportunities for all type of pupils. And more educated persons lead to lessen unemployment.

Currently, there are many students , leading their education to an uper step and join universities for higher studies. Getting more education mean getting more experience for exmaple , in many universities they taught students more practical work then theoretical lesson which can help them to get hands on experience on everything they been taught. Higher education leads to get more jobs and create more options and it also benefits the Government , more students, results in universities to higher fee collection and more taxes will be paid to Government , so Government can ficilitate more students and provide scholarships.

Previously, due to few numbers of courses were taught, many students did not got admission in their desire university. Keep that in mind, we can say that more courses can bring more options for students. For instant , more courses can open different door for learners and it can create new exposure for all of them. Government can also take advantage from them , as we can say if there mutiple courses options are for students so more students can apply and secure their future and will not be dependent on the Government.

In conclution, Government should appreciate that if more students pursuing for higher studies because it can boost economy while increasing range of courses can lead and motivate more students for education. So it is as positive change in society .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction: you consider the growth in higher education and course choice positive. You address both developments and give relevant reasons, including practical learning, broader job opportunities, and the possibility of scholarships. This meets the task well, and the economic benefits show some development beyond simply stating an opinion. However, several points remain general or are not fully explained. For example, the claim that more courses help students “secure their future” would be stronger with a specific example of how a course meets a labour-market need. The discussion also shifts between benefits to students and benefits to government without always showing the connection. More precise examples and fuller explanation of the less-developed points would strengthen the response.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the main ideas generally progress from educational benefits to wider course choice. Linking phrases such as “Previously” and “In conclusion” help signal the direction of the argument. However, connections between some claims are not always clear: the move from practical experience to university fees and government tax revenue, for instance, feels abrupt. Several sentences also rely on repeated “and” or “so,” which makes the progression sound mechanical. References such as “them” in “Government can also take advantage from them” are unclear. Use more precise links between cause and effect, and ensure each paragraph develops one central point in a clear sequence.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “higher education,” “practical work,” “scholarships,” and “unemployment,” so the reader can follow the main argument. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning less natural. Examples include “the amount of students,” “maximum opportunities,” “higher fee collection,” and “take advantage from them.” Spelling errors such as “uper,” “exmaple,” “ficilitate,” and “conclution” also reduce accuracy. Aim to learn common academic collocations and check spelling carefully; choosing precise, natural phrases will make your ideas clearer and more convincing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, and the overall meaning is usually understandable. However, control of verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction is inconsistent. For example, “has been increased” is not the appropriate form here, while “Getting more education mean” has a subject–verb agreement error. In “many students did not got admission,” the verb form after “did not” is incorrect. Some sentences also become difficult to follow because several clauses are joined together, as in the sentence beginning “Government can also take advantage…” Practise accurate past and present forms, agreement, and sentence boundaries, then proofread each sentence for one clear grammatical structure.
